              We have a warranty with this company to come out and check the furnace yearly. We paid between $200 and $300 for it. I have tried calling repeatedly only to get an answering service that takes my message but no one calls back. I went by their address which is in a strip mall. There is the company name as signage with the answering service phone number, but the lights were off and there was no furniture in the store front.

              My fianc purchased a house on July 23, 2021. We agreed that replacing the Ac and furnace and ductwork would be best not only for energy efficiency but due to their age. We got multiple bids but ultimately went with Dawson Dodd, the worst mistake of our lives. I spoke with **** on several occasions and when it was time to sign the contract ***************, one of the owners, brought it over I signed it and paid them half the money upfront as agreed upon. Per the contract and our agreement the other half was suppose to be due upon completion. The next day *** came back to the house and got my fiancs credit card information and I found out a few days later that he had ran her credit card for the other half of the payment. At that point they had been paid in full and no work had begun. I made this point in a text message to **** and tried calling the office with no luck. **** responded and said they were finishing another job and would be there the following day. Two days later and multiple texts later, *****, a service guy from D&D showed up. He took some measurements and said they would be back shortly. Four days later they finally showed back up, well ***** did. After **** had told me in a text that they would be there on Monday with a team of guys to start and complete the installation. The first thing ***** did was completely disconnect our original Ac system, our only source of cooling. He then began to measure the floor where the new vents would be installed, he Began cutting the hole in the kitchen then complained of his elbow hurting and asked our neighbor who was helping me lay the new subfloor in the basement if he would finish cutting on the lines he measured out. When he began cutting I looked up and saw that he was cutting into a floor joist, I immediately had them stop and ***** admitted he measured wrong and apologized. He then went to the living and this time drilled a pilot into the living floor. Another tech, ***, showed up and ***** explained to him what had happened. *** told him he shouldnt have disconnected the Ac system until they where completely ready to hook up the new system and called ****. **** showed up and saw what ***** had done and he had ***** leave. He then asked about moving the furnace from the basement to the attic and agreed to fix the flooring. I called my fianc as she had the ultimate say, she agreed to the change since they had agreed to fix the flooring since they were abandoning the holes already cut into the floor. He said he had a floor guy that he would have come out on Friday to repair the floor. It is now 70 days later and they are still not complete. After exhausting every effort to keep in contact with them and make every necessary arrangement possible for them to be able to complete the job including helping *** because they refused to send him any help, going to Lowes and buying parts and supplies *** needed and even paying *** money to come and get the job done, yes I have text messages and money transfers to prove this. This was suppose to be a one day install and the equipment they installed isnt even the equipment nor brand they listed on the contract. Ive had to have another HVAC company come out to review their work and their comment exactly was Weve never seen such a botched job. They didnt install a drain pan under the furnace so if and when it leaks it will go straight to the ceiling and ruin the ceiling, they ran the exhaust over to the ***** vent and used foam board I had laying around to box it in therefore if I use the furnace the toxins will be pulled right back into the attic through the furnace and distributed throughout the house. The pump was place on a piece of flooring in the attic instead of the drain pan and the one cheap plastic hose they installed for the drain goes from the attic to the basement then outside which come winter time will freeze not allowing the system to drain and freezing up the furnace. The electric wiring they did is all wrong and we have to have an electrician come out to access the damage there. Trying to contact them is a joke. *** always says Ill be there at 8am in the morning and never shows. I have hundreds of these types of messages from him. ****, well he wont even respond. *** the service tech has told me on several occasions that they will take money from people and not start their job because they have to use that money to do a job they had already had under contract for months. So basically running a Ponzi scheme, robbing ***** to pay for **** who they already robbed to pay for sham and so on. As far as our flooring is concerned I have over 100 texts from ****, *** and **** Dawson accepting fault and agreeing to replace the flooring which they have now decided to turn over to their insurance company to commit more fraud. Ive had to take several weeks off work without pay just to be here so they would work. The one week my fianc was here instead of myself, not only did they not show up two days after making her drive nearly an hour to be here for them to work. They were extremely rude to her and wouldnt even respect the fact that she is actually the owner of the home. Ive tried reaching out to *** about the problems with their install and completing the install and got no response for days. He finally responded saying he was going to discuss the matter with his attorney. Ive since contacted my bank, which being a veteran i bank with a bank for veterans. They have since put a hold on my half of the charges until they complete the work and fix the problems, which they have no intentions of finishing. And the kicker to all of it, they didnt even get a permit. I have also contacted the city I live in for the inspector to come out as well. Weve had quotes done to replace the flooring due to the fact that the current flooring we have which is only a year old has been discontinued and they were unable to match it was $4800.00 to replace. Just to fix the issues at hand with their installation was nearly $4500.00. No idea yet how much the electrician is going to cost. I wish I had read the reviews prior to signing the contract or giving them any money. This has been a complete nightmare. And Dawson Dodd will rob you blind. Do not use them. ***, their tech has told me how they operate, they will find a minor issue and tell the person they need a whole new system then take their money and not do the work for months in some cases for years. I have several hundred texts messages from both owners *************** and **** Dawson and ********************* to prove everything Ive stated. The only option we are being left with at this point is seeking litigation.
