|Customer Review Experience||Value|
|Positive Review||5 points per review|
|Neutral Review||3 points per review|
|Negative Review||1 point per review|
BBB letter grades represent the BBB's opinion of the business. The BBB grade is based on BBB file information about the business. In some cases, a business' grade may be lowered if the BBB does not have sufficient information about the business despite BBB requests for that information from the business.
BBB Letter Grade Scale
Star Rating scale
BBB Customer Review Rating plus BBB Rating is not a guarantee of a business' reliability or performance, and BBB recommends that consumers consider a business' BBB Rating and Customer Review Rating in addition to all other available information about the business. Complaint: ***** ******** doing business as Abraham Contractors was contracted to a complete gut remodel of one of our properties. The relationship and the job was going well until about half way through. The lead contractor and their team were slowing down and not showing up on the job. We had a meeting with ****** ******** and we discussed and agreed to a final completion date with penalties if not completed by the agreed date. Abraham Contractors did not complete the job by said date. In addition, one of their responsibilities was to paint the interior of the house. They painted and repainted the house three times and could never get the colors to match. The interior had to be repainted by other contractors. This was the last event that got them removed from the job site. Abraham Contractors promptly place a mechanics lien on the property claiming that money was owed to them for work they did. We have since had the lien removed. ********* **** ******* LLC went back through our contract and evaluated the work that had been completed, the work that hadn't been done, the damages that had to be corrected, and the work they had been paid for and not completed to workman like manor. With damages from work that had to be redone, Credit for work that has been paid for and not completed, and penalties for not completing on the agreed date, minus the final draw not paid, Abraham Contractors owes Integrity Home Buyers, LLC $13,389. We have signed documentation, photos, and eye witness accounts to the actions of Abraham Contractors.
Desired Settlement: We request a refund and settlement of the complaint.
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/02) */ Contact Name and Title: ****** ******* Contact Phone: (XXX)XXX-XXXX Mr *****'s complaint is not accurate. First, Abraham Contractors takes its BBB rating very seriously. Our personnel strive very hard to satisfy and meet all customer expectations. 1) Mr ***** terminated contractor customer relationship with us. 2) We voluntarily lifted the Lien Waiver for money he owed us. 3) Mr ***** has since sold the property. 4) We have worked in the house building a mother-in-law suite for the new owner. We have photos as well. 5) We request Mr ***** to furnish all "cleared" bank checks he claims he paid to other contractors during this time frame. We believe Mr ***** is falsifying his claim along with justification for refund. Mr ***** is a decent carpenter himself. We believe he decided to complete the final stages of the project due to funding issues. We will not entertain a refund. All payments made to Abraham Contractors was for "completed" work in line with approved contract. Should Mr ***** choose to arbitrate this matter, we will gladly do so.
