Sends threatening letter and will not answer phone or return messages to allow the patient to pay the debt. No one will take my payment.
The first letter I received from EBO was extremely unprofessional and filled with falsehoods. They claim I have disregarded their efforts to get in contact with me to resolve a $118 debt. They gave me a deadline to call back - complete with time of day - and then threatened further action if I did not comply; remembering this is the first letter I received. I tried to call 27 times to pay my debt and their phone number auto-routes me to the voice mail of 1 agent. I left several messages but did not receive a call back. I Googled the company and found an alternate phone number, which was not answered either. This was all during their normal posted business hours. I believe it is their intent to allow my debt to go unresolved so that they may claim I have not been compliant.

Desired Settlement
I would like someone to call me back so that no further action is taken against me. And if my credit score is affected because of their incompetence, I would like reimbursement.

We've had the opportunity to review the complaint lodged by the consumer. This firm complies with all federal and state collection laws. The amount of information we can release publicly is limited. We have initiated an effort to reach the consumer and endeavor to satisfy her objections. Our office was closed on August 30th for the Labor Day weekend.

No, Paid In Full Letter has been returned to me
I contacted Extended Business Office to make a final payment on account #XXXXXXXX. (the representative, by the way was excellent) offered me a deal, if I pay now, they will take $30 off my account. That worked for me. All I owed was $108. He stated that a Paid In Full Letter will come out 10 business days after the check has been cleared. (which would be Dec 12, give or take Dec 14th - Friday). The check cleared 11/28/12 in the amount of $108. As you can see I am still waiting on my Paid In Full Letter.

In listening to the recorded conversation with Ms. when she arranged payment with us, she did not specifically ask for a payment in full letter. It is not our policy to send payment in full letters unless they are expressly requested due to the cost.

We have sent a letter today to Ms. today with our apologies.

Please direct all future correspondence to my attention. Thank you for calling us. Please let me know if this response is acceptable. We take these matters very seriously.
