Complaint: A representative claiming to be from this has called me almost daily for two months. The representative says he/she is calling from Credit Control LLC and that call is about a debt collection. I returned the first call and they asked for someone who is not me. I informed them that I am not that person. After the phone, I checked my credit via all three bureaus and confirmed that I do not have any outstanding debts. Furthermore, I never received any written validation of any debt. According to the FTC, "Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money." (https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection, "Debt Collection," Updated: May 2015). I wrote to this company on July 20th explaining this issue and asking them to provide written validation of any uncollected debt. They did not respond. In addition, since I received the first phone call I am now receiving other phone calls from random numbers. Most do not leave a voicemail. I believe this company has sold my phone number to other phone calling lists. This company harasses me almost daily from this phone number. They have never provided written validation as required by law. Furthermore, I have no outstanding debts listed on any of my credit reports. Therefore, I believe they are in violation of the law.

Desired Settlement: I would like for them to stop calling me because I do not, in fact, owe any debts. I would like written, legally-binding verification that my phone number has been removed from their database so that they cannot call me and they cannot sell my phone number in the future, unless the company Credit Control, LLC, is actually employed to collect a genuine, legitimate debt from me, for which they have sent written validation.

Complaint: I received a letter for a debt I do not owe. I have already spoken with ******* ***, and they confirmed I owe no outstanding debt, and even tried to find one based on my SSN. There was another company who also tried to run this scam. I am up to date with payments on my card. Complaint ID #: ******** – ****** J. *****

Dear Complaint Resolution Department:

We are in receipt of your letter of July 12, 2016, forwarding us a copy of the complaint filed with your office by Ms. ****** J. *****. Upon receipt of your correspondence we conducted our internal investigation into the concerns set forth by Ms. ***** in her complaint, and would like to address those concerns.

First and foremost, I want to address any confusion on Ms. *****’s behalf that we have purchased her account. Please be advised that Credit Control, LLC has not purchased this account. As stated in our letter to Ms. ***** this account is owned by her current creditor **** ******** ***, who placed this account with our office for collection.

Next, Ms. ***** states that due to the age of the account, she is no longer responsible for the balance, making our collection efforts illegal. While there is in fact a statute of limitations which dictates that after a given length of time no lawsuit can be filed, that does not in any way limit or inhibit the right of a creditor or a debt collector to attempt to collect the debt. This also applies to Ms. *****’s statement that this is no longer on her credit report. The Fair Credit Reporting Act provides that an account must be removed from a credit report once the statute of limitations for credit reporting has passed, but that has no impact on a creditor or debt collector’s right to attempt to collect the debt. In fact, this was explained to Ms. ***** in the letter we sent to her as follows - "The law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, **** ******* *** will not sue you for it, and **** ******* *** will not report it to any credit reporting agency".

As Ms. *****’s complaint stated that she wishes no further contact from Credit Control, LLC, we have ceased communication on this account and are in process of returning it to our client. Ms. ***** will receive no further communication from Credit Control, LLC.

Sincerely,

***** ******

Director of Compliance

Complaint ID: ******** – **** ***** ********

We are in receipt of your correspondence of May 19, 2016, forwarding a copy of the complaint filed with your office by **** ***** ******** regarding a collection notice they received from us.

After reviewing our file, we show that we just received this account on May 10th 2016 and the only communication we have had with **** ***** ******** is the letter of representation they referenced receiving from our company in their complaint. Although our letter, in compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, informs them that unless they notify us within 30 days that the debt or any portion thereof is disputed we will then assume the debt to be valid, we were not contacted in any way by anyone from this business. If they had done so we would have ordered documentation from our client to provide to them as validation of the debt, and a hold would have been placed on all collection activity relating to this account until such time as the documentation was provided to them.

As your correspondence was received within the 30-day period as outlined above, we are treating it as if it were a letter of dispute directly from **** ***** ******** and we have therefore requested the documentation from our client. In addition, all activity regarding this account has been placed on hold and will only resume after we have received the validation documents and forwarded them to the business.

Once they receive the documentation, we invite someone from the business to contact our office to discuss how we can help them to resolve this. If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to call us at your convenience at ************ and ask for ***** *****, the Director of Operations at that location who will be happy to assist you.

Sincerely,

Consumer Response: According to the letter from Credit Control we are supposed to wait for them to contact **** for invoices and bill pay history in order to verify if information received is **** ***** ******** or **** *** ****'s debt. Once I receive the information from Credit Control, then we will discuss the validity of the billing. There is nothing for us to do at this point, but wait for the documentation. If Jesse Meade from Credit Control would like to contact me in the meantime, ************, I would be happy to discuss any further action on our part. Respectfully, *****

Business Response: We responded to the complainant by sending verification of the debt so complainant can review and resolve.  At this time there is nothing for us to do until at such time we hear from the complainant.

Complaint: I have been paying off a college tuition debt with this company for years. I recently noticed that the debt was no longer coming out of my bank account like it always had. I have tried numerous time (6 or 7) to contact this company to get my payments set back up again so I don't have a summery judgement filed against me and have my wages garnished. I have both the means and the ability to make payments, and want to. Every time my wife or I have called we have been directed to a voicemail box. We have left messages every time. There has never been a response. We have even tried calling ******* ****** ******* directly, and the number they transferred us to was always a direct line to a voicemail box as well. We would just like to get payments set back up so we can get this debt taken care of. Any help that could be given would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Desired Settlement: I would like to get in contact with a person at this company and have payments reinstated so I can pay this debt off.

Re: Complaint ID ******** – **** F *********

We are in receipt of your letter which was forwarded to us via email link to your website on 5/6/16, accompanying a copy of the complaint filed with your office by Mr. *********.  Upon receipt of your correspondence we conducted our internal investigation into the issues raised by Mr. ********* in his communication with your office.

After reviewing the history of our file which had contained Mr. *********’s phone number, we find that the one and only time we ever made contact with anyone at that number was on May 5, 2016.  During that call we were advised that we had reached a wrong number for the party we were trying to reach, at which time we removed the number from our file.  No calls were placed since that time nor will any be placed moving forward to Mr. *********’s number by Credit Control, LLC.

With regard to Mr. *********’s concern that we had been previously advised that his number was a wrong number, after a thorough review of the file in addition to our call record data we were not able to locate another call in which that took place.  The only explanation I can offer is that Mr. ********* may have had that conversation with another company at the time, and then when he received our call on May 5th he may have believed that we were the same company he spoke with previously.

In any case, I offer my sincere apology to Mr. ********* for any inconvenience as a result of our having called his number as a wrong number.  Once again, I can confirm that we have removed his number, and he will receive no further calls from Credit Control, LLC.

Sincerely,

***** ******

Complaint: I have received a collection bill from this company that they would like payment for an invoice from 1999. I did not live in the state of Ohio in 1999 or many years prior to this so it is not possible for me to owe this company or collection agency any funds. Through a little internet research I found a company that they referred to I am not clear on why they are not able to find them. It is if they picked my name and address out of a hat and figured I would just pay what ever bill comes to my home I am outraged by this action. I have tried to call the collection company but they will never answer the phone all they do is ask you to leave a message so they have your number and can call you back. Then what they start calling me on the phone to collect what I do not owe. No I will not provide them with my phone number. I believe the information they are looking for is as follows: which they would have found by searching. Driving directions to ******** Cabinet Co. and product information about DESIGNERAIL is provided. DESIGNERAIL is a product created by ******** Cabinet Co. in , Hamilton, , 45015. The DESIGNERAIL is a product related to wooden railings and balusters. The DESIGNERAIL product is no longer being marketed in the United States. The DESIGNERAIL is in the category of Non-Metallic Building Material Products . The correspondent of the DESIGNERAIL is **** ** ****** ** ****** * ******* ***** **** **** ************ ******* **** *********** ** ***** . My complaint is that they sent me this collection notice without researching the real person or company they are looking for. My request is that I never receive bogus mail from them again without proper research. Also let me be clear about my information, I do not know this company Designerail, know anyone who may own it or have/had any association with this company ever. Thank you Sharon Pierce

Desired Settlement: This company needs to contact the originator and get the correct information. Or do the research to get the valid information before they send bogus bills again. I would like a letter of apology and an assurance that this will not happen again and that this debt is clear of anything to do with me. Thank you again ******

I sent my 1st payment on 8/10 & it was accepted. I made 3 more payments clearing my bank account on 8/14(this was for 1st payment),9/15, 10/20 and 11/23. On 12/8 I received a phone call from Tosca at Credit Control, who stated I was not under agreement for the 20% discount but when I stated that 4 payments have already been made she allowed it & stated I had 2 more payments due with a total balance of $553.76. Now my December payment was mailed with a stack of other mail I unknowingly neglected to put stamps on. As a result all of my mail was returned while I was out of town. I came back & re-mailed everything with postage on it this time. This payment cleared my account on 1/5. The last payment cleared my account on 2/2, not sure if this is relevant, but I wrote a check for this payment (#****) however it cleared my account as a "phone payment." Received a phone call today, which I thought was interesting because I was under the understanding that this account was settled in full. I called them back & was told that because my payment was late in December the entire agreement is null. I am extremely frustrated, I never received any bills containing a due date or was never told that a late payment would null the settlement agreement. If I had known this I would have called when I received all my mail back (like I did with the other bills I mailed in). Now today I have been told that I have a balance of $415.38! Again, I never received any "bills" containing a due date or an agreement stating that if a payment was late the agreement would be null. I paid every month enclosing with my check a copy of the only piece of paper I had from Credit Control dated 7/15/15.

Desired Settlement: Credit Control should honor their side of the agreement & consider my account "Settled in Full" as written.

To Whom It May Concern,

Your correspondence dated March 9, 2016 regarding the above referenced matter has been referred to me for review and response.

After reviewing Miss ********’s account, it was discovered that a payment was indeed missed in December 2015. Normally we cannot allow the settlement agreement to continue if a payment was missed; this is something that the client enforces. However, after getting in touch with the client, it has been agreed upon that the settlement plan can be completed if the final payment is made this month: March 2016. We invite you to call in to complete this at ************.

Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:
Credit Control failed to provide any documentation stating that if a payment is received late my agreement would null/void. Also failed to receive monthly statements or a due date! As stated in my original complaint I mailed a stack of mail that I unknowing neglected to put stamps on, went  on a 5 day trip & came home to returned mail & promptly re-mailed everything. If I had known this was going to be an issue I would have called credit control, but again with no documentation pertaining to late payments or a said due date I didn't think it was an issue.
Credit Control has received all 6 of the payments: clearing my bank account on the following dates: 8/14, 9/15, 10/20, 11/23,1/5 and 2/2 all in the amount of 276.88, for a total of 1,661,.28. As all payments have been received I am asking them to honor the agreement of considering my account "settled in full"

Complaint: This company is pursuing a debt that is not mine and was a product of fraudulent activity. They are attempting to collect a debt that was removed from my credit report because of its origin from another individual, my mother. I was not authorized to be a cosigner on the account in question and made this very clear when I talked with both **** *** and **** ***** the original creditor. The matter was dropped, however, ever since this account went into collections and my mother apparently stopped paying on the debt, many companies have harassed me to collect the full debt owed by my mother. After going through the same steps of calling and reporting that this account was not suppose to have my name on it, the matter was once again dropped. Now a third party agency has bought my mother's debt from the original creditor and is attempting to collect this from me once again because my mother has filed bankruptcy and she is no longer on the account apparently. I have tried to deal with this in many different ways and it has ultimately lead me to seek assistance for accusations regarding a debt that was never mine in the first place. My credit report is clean and my score is extremely good, and I have a feeling that this new company, Credit Control, LLC, is going to place this back on my credit report and treat it as a new debt. I will eventually hire a credit attorney who will deal with this properly, but if I can avoid spending money on a debt that was never mine, I will. I am constantly being harassed about this debt and no one is listening to my side of the story. Product_Or_Service: Unaware Account_Number: XXXXXXXX

Desired Settlement: I would like the debt to be dropped because it is not mine. I would like the company to stop contacting me about it and to erase the debt from their records. I would also like them to not report anything on my credit report regarding this fraudulent debt if they haven't already. If they have, I would like it to be taken off my credit report. If I have to I will end up having to sue them to correct the false debt and my credit report.

Complaint: This company has been harrassing my parents, although no accounts I have are attached to their home phone. Credit Collections has been calling my parents home every hour on the hour for days looking for me. No accounts I have are attached to their phone number or address and I have not lived with them in over ten years. I called back the number they continue to harass my parents from, and the representative demanded payment without telling me for whom they were trying to collect. The representative tried to tell me multiple times that I would only be given details if I made immediate payment. I am absolutely not giving personal information, let alone payment information, to a company that refuses to tell me what for. I will happily pay any owed debts, but not without explicit details as to what I am paying and why. These people are incredibly rude and the fact that they are attempting to contact me on a phone number that has no attachment to any accounts I have is highly suspect. It should be noted that they have yet to attempt to contact me on my actual phone number even once.

Desired Settlement: For this company to stop calling my parents house and to, if I actually owe someone money, to be explicit about the accounts I owe on. They are blindly asking for money with no proof or explanation and withholding alleged information, demanding payment first.

In reviewing the recording of the call which took place on January 19, 2016, we find that the issue stems from the portion of the conversation wherein Mr. ******* was explaining his dispute of the balance of this account which included a dispute with a merchant which he had earlier lodged through our client ***************. He explained to our collector Mr. ***** that *************** had credited him for this balance at the time he made his dispute, and that they had also gone to the merchant regarding his dispute who had credited him the money for the disputed amount. Complaint: Credit Control called my work 2 times in 5 minutes asking for my husband by his nickname for a collection issue. They would not provide me acct info. Credit Control called to collect on a debt for my husband at my work 2 times in 5 minutes. I stepped outside and called them back so I would not get fired when they called again. They did not have his legal name, my name, nor any of his phone numbers or a valid mailing address. They were asking me to give them his personal information, when they had asked for him by his nick name, not his actual name that he uses on all legal transactions including credit accounts. They would not tell me the reason for the call except that it was to collect a debt, but did not who he owed. They were very rude when I questioned them about their right to collect the undefined debt. They have not contacted him via mail, nor does he have any outstanding debts that he is aware of. Complaint: Rude and harassing customer service, refused to provide documentation of invoice or contract for services we are being billed for. We received a bill for $228.93, we have NO IDEA what this charge is for. When I called customer service to ask for an invoice the rep said he would only provide it if I paid today. I replied there is no way I would pay for something with out an invoice. He mentioned payments HAD been made on the account in the past and I asked for a payment history as well. He alleged there is a signed contract for advertising services to the yellow pages. I asked for a copy of that as well. He then threatened to send the case to "legal" at which point I explained I simply could not pay for services which I knew nothing about, despite what previous directors may have done. I mentioned this whole thing seemed like a scam and he became very belligerent, accusing me of "not knowing what was going on in my own company". Complaint: I cancelled a contract with ** for advertising back in 2013 as I retired my business at that time. As aforesaid, I had cancelled my contract and ** continued to bill me monthly, adding additional charges and late fees each month. As I received each invoice, I contacted them again and they assured me they will cancel retroactive to 4/13. Even after that, they renewed my prescription WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and continued to bill me. They have placed this for collection another time, but I explained my situation to the collection agency and they dropped the claim. Complaint: Collecting debt a year past the statute of limitations, demand full payment Claiming there are no other way, and contact employer after told not to. stop calling us at our places of work even though I've requested they not call several times yet they still do it (got in trouble at work because of this), stop violating FDCPA rules (it's a law not a guideline). I'm probably going to lose my job over these calls to my work place. Telling my employer whom you think is me and telling them my personal information without verifying who they are (now everyone I work with knows my personal business).

Desired Settlement: At minimum I want the $400 left on the debt removed. It's the least they can do for violating my wife and my own privacy. It's kind of messed up that my employer knows my personal business and that I got in trouble at work for getting a personal call at my place of work even though I've given both verbal and written request that they not do so several times.

Complaint: My wife, *******, had been receiving several calls from the "Credit Control LLC" in Hazelwood, MO, saying that she owed over $10,000 in unpaid credit card debt. They said the debt was over 10 years old. I was very confused because none of the "debt" ever showed up on credit report and she had not been contacted about it until recently. I was told to call the credit card company "X" and get the details because all they were hired to do was collect the debt. I called company X and explained the situation, they explained to me that the credit card had been sold to card company "Y" and that I would need to call them. I called company "Y", explaining the situation to them and they proceeded to tell me that the debt had been paid off over 10 years ago and the account had been closed. I proceeded to call the Credit Control Company back to speak with the manager that I had spoken with before. I explained the situation that I had gone through with X and Y. She was far from apologetic and in the end when I asked how to get them to stop calling us, she yelled at me and said they would stop and she hung up on me. I am convinced that this company is a fraud and that they are stealing from people who are willing to send these people money so that it does not give them bad credit.

Desired Settlement: If the company is indeed and credit collection agency they should do their research a little better. If I would have sent them money without doing my research I would have been out a lot of money. The business should have no reason to contact me any further.

Complaint: Another company collecting on illegal debts. I took out a loan with ********* in 2013. At the time, I did not know these loans are not legal in the state I live in. I subsequently paid the principal, but refused to pay on the interest after that. The loan has been shuffled around, and this is the third debt collection agency that has had my account. Why is it shuffled around so much? Because I have wised up, inform the agents I know this debt is illegal and uncollect-able, and instruct them to only ever contact me on my personal cell and that I won't pay one cent. They see they will get nowhere with me and sell the account off to the next one down the line. Now, I am sick of this. ********* is not licensed in my state. Not only that, but the loan itself, the interest rates, and the terms and conditions are illegal under the laws of my state. ********* states that, since they are tribal, they can do what they want and are not held to my state's, or the federal government's, laws. This may be true, but they must abide by those laws when dealing with citizens of that state. This is bolstered by a SCOTUS ruling in May of last year. So, these companies that collect on these illegal loans are no better. This is an illegal debt! You are breaking the law by attempting to collect on it!

Desired Settlement: I want Credit Control LLC to cease contacting me or attempting to collect on my debt. Furthermore, I want them to completely drop my account, as the debt is illegal. If Credit Control LLC continues to attempt to collect, or if they AGAIN sell my account to another company, I am at the end of my rope and I will pursue every action I can against them. Complaint: Calling on UNAUTHORIZED number. Received a call at my place of employment by a gentleman stating he was calling from this company and that I authorized them to call me on my employers phone. I NEVER AUTHORIZED THIS, BECAUSE I NEVER SPOKE, NOR HAVE A EVER RECEIVED ANYTHING IN THE MAIL FROM THIS COMPANY. I HAVE NEVER AUTHORIZED ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY. I don't know what they would be calling for. But they need to stop. My numbers are on a do not call list, and personal calls are not accepting at my place of employment.

Desired Settlement: STOP CALLING MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, WHICH WAS AGAIN NEVER AUTHORIZED. MAIL ANY CORRESPONDENCE IF NECESSARY.

Complaint: I have a block on my credit report with all 3 credit bureaus to prevent the pulling of my credit. Credit Control LLC never received my authorization. Having a block is to prevent anyone from pulling my credit for any reasons without my consent. I received a letter from Credit Control, LLC out of the blue on March 24, 2015 trying to "save big by putting your tax refund to work" letter on a debt they noted, yet I have no tax refund as I am on SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY and have been since 2010. It is because of this disability and inability to work that my account fell behind and I cannot pay as I have only SS Disability pay to live on. If I could pay on my debt I would have. My agreement was with the creditor, not with Credit Control LLC. I feel blindsided with unfair practices of collecting debt that has been written off, and I have proof of, and then years later be hit with some collection agency I did not authorize to have this debt, and having a lock on my credit report is to prevent companies from pulling my credit randomly and to avoid this type of fraud. The original creditor wrote off my account with nothing being owed going forward so I therefore owe nothing! I have already taken the hit for this debt on my credit report through the original creditor. I do not believe in this harassment of double jeopardy and getting negative hits for an "OLD" debt. Again, how did they get this information if my credit report with all 3 credit reporting agencies having a lock on my report. NO ONE can pull a copy of my report without my permission, hard pulls or soft pulls. So this is fraudulent behavior.

Desired Settlement: I am asking Credit Control LLC to dismiss my account regarding any past due balances they obtained for my ***** account ending in 4525, as my account with ***** was dismissed and written off and I owe nothing with *****, and therefore, owe nothing with Credit Control LLC and paid the price on my credit report for my delinquency due to health issues. Double jeopardy is not fair to the consumer! let alone one that is on Social Security disability and has been. I will be happy to provide proof of my SSDI. I suffer from debilitating anxiety and panic disorder, among many other health issues, and letters like this is fraudulent behavior. I have no tax refund to work with! I have no income that I report to the state or federal government. Again, the lock on my credit report is to prevent this type of fraudulent behavior. My permission was not given to pull my report to obtain any written off debts.

Complaint: I've been paying my debt to this company every single month. I am very conscientious of that. Last year I only owed $222. I've been paying on that every month. I've been making $50 payments a month, which are agreed upon. The date of my last payment, they say is from 2013. My last transaction was November 3, 2014 for $61.59. Complaint: Credit Control has been constantly calling my house and not leaving a message with regards to why they are calling. It has gotten to the point where I finally answered one of their calls and told them not to call here again. When a collection agency such as this one calls and fails to leave any sort of message, it is just irritating, and it makes me even less inclined to find out the reason they are calling me. I spent the better part of last October in the hospital, and I'm more concerned about how I'm going to pay off that bill than whatever debt they seem to think I owe. The only thing I want is for them to quit calling every day and leaving these hang-up calls on the answering machine, because if they persist, I will be calling an attorney and suing for harassment.

Desired Settlement: I have no interest in a settlement, as long as Credit Control confines all future communications to the postal service. If they persist in calling again, then I will sue for harassment.

Complaint: Lack of Written Verification I have had several conversations with Credit Control. Primarily with a gentleman named Tim Schroeder. There are several issues that are problematic. It feels like they are being less than forthright and unnecessarily slow to action. I want an itemized list of all accounts for ******** Hospital, for my and my wife. I have agreed to make payments with use of my debit card and have made a total of 4 payments on both accounts. I have asked several times for a written agreement for this payment process. They have thus far refused to provide proof to me in writing that this agreement is in place. I have been told they have no mechanism for doing this, but as I have perused their complaint history here at the BBB, they do seemed to have mechanism to send out letters of agreement. It is really such a simple thing, I do not see why they are choosing to be so intransigent in their approach. I contacted them, I have been making payments. I finally got an invoice showing that they have credited the payments correctly. I was told that they have mailed payment reminders to my address, but I have not received any mail from Credit Control in 2-3 months. After being told in at least 2 conversations they couldn't send anything in an email, after demanding that I see an invoice crediting my payments, a miracle occurred and I received an e-mail. Either the person was out and out lying about their own process, or trying to avoid a simple request for no good reason. I have unfortunately because of times without health insurance and job loss, had several medical collections to take care of. Every other company has sent me agreements in writing of payment plans, or settlement terms. They can do what I have requested, and it is a small, small thing. I think I deserve the written verification of our verbal agreement.

Desired Settlement: A itemized invoice of all accounts for me and my wife from ******** Hospital. A written letter of agreement that corresponds to the verbal agreement Credit Control has already entered into. $125 monthly on all accounts for my accounts with ********, and $125 monthly on all of my wife's accounts with ********.

Business Response: Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 6, 2015/03/20) */ Yesterday, I received everything I had requested from credit control. As far as I am concerned, the complaint can be completely dropped and I won't have any issues with what they've done I'm very happy with my relationship with them now. I'm sorry took so long but I'm glad it was handled finally thank you very much

Complaint: I was referred to Credit Control by ** advertising. I had not paid my ** bill since 10-2014. There was no proof of contract. I had reviewed my accounts payable and realized I had not signed a contract or verified a contract with ** Advertising. I called ** and asked for a contract verification. They replayed a voice conversation from the previous year , January 2013. Credit Control contacted me about the account , I asked them the same thing proof of a contract. They sent invoices , no proof of contract. I agreed to pay it willingly with the proof of contract. The representative from Credit Control lead me to believe he was a paralegal and also told me that If I did not resolve it that day it would proceed to court , and the court to appear would be a days drive away. He also said I didn't want to challenge a corporate giant like **. The only thing I requested was a copy of the contract. They said it was auto renewal from **. This could have been resolved in a simple manner by sending me proof of contract. My complaint with Credit Control , they were misleading by saying they were doing a paralegal service , and intimidating me by saying ** would carry this to court and it would be at a fair distance to cause me a lot of trouble. I'm not sure but I don't think they can portray doing paralegal services when they are not a law firm. I paid the invoice not because I felt I owed it , because I felt intimidated by the operator. I wish I had not agreed to it after further thought.

Desired Settlement: I don't want a settlement of any type , I would like legal documentation from either YP or Credit Control , I requested it from both. Credit Control did not want to listen to me about this. I feel I have a right to receive a copy of the contract. Basically my feelings are YP should have sent hard copy of this contract for me to review before Credit Control stepped in. I feel like I was bullied into paying a bill that I did not owe. Credit Control did not care about any of this , they wanted money no matter the situation.

Nonetheless, he called approximately 30 minutes later at which time, I informed him I did not appreciate "personal business" calls at my place of employment, much less him being rude to my coworker or asking to speak to my boss! He had my personal contact information, I expect him to contact me there. I will not tolerate being harrassed at my employment with these type of calls. If we can't make ends meet having a job, much less if I get fired over such calls.

Desired Settlement: I expect to be contacted at home. I do not ever want to receive calls at my place of employment due to this matter!

Complaint: I have requested the company to send me a written notice of account in their office and to stop contacting my parent's home phone. In December of 2014 my parent's home phone received the first call from Credit Control and forwarded it to me, I explained to the rep that number was not to be contacted since it was not my own and provided the rep with cell phone #. I asked the same rep to provide me with a WRITTEN letter stating amount owned with the account in their office. I received another call a few days later from the same rep and explained to her I had not received the letter and she proceeded to state she had no knowledge of my request for written statement and ensured one would be sent. January 15, around 7:35 my parents house phone received another call from Credit Control and the agent spoke with my brother who forwarded the call to me and I demanded to know why they were still contacting my parent's number instead of my cell phone and the agent was very rude, stated that this was the phone I provided "a few months ago" (although the first rep stated the account had been in the office since December 5th) and I explained I would not go through with any verification process unless I was told why that phone number of XXX-XXX-XXXX was still on their list and that I had not received any paperwork, the agent blatantly lied and stated they had sent over 5 letters (first rep said they had no record of any sent to my address). He proceed to tell me that "maybe I'll care to take care of my business after my birthday" and hung up. I've been calling back all day today, January 16th and no one in the office is answering and it says the receptionist is unavailable.

Desired Settlement: I am asking that my parent's phone number be taken off the list. More importantly, as I have stated to the agent in December, I have been in touch with the original credit ******** Bank and have been working out payment plans and I would be willing to do the same with your office once I get a validation notice and a correct phone number for me to get in touch with an agent other, than when they are rudely attacking me at parent's home phone number.

Complaint: Hi, I had a credit card with ****** *** Bank until 2009, after that it was charged with a off principal balance of $630.63. As of September 5, 2014 it now has a overall balance of $1,026.28 which is one of my issues. I've done my research on this and I know different companies have varying policies. And this New balance of $1026 is due to $395.65 in interest, just quite absurd to me in a sense. I have a contacted them in the past looking to set up a payment arrangement so that I may pay off my full balance, this point I am still willing and looking to do so but I am requesting that they stop charging me interest. I know some companies will let your balance remain as whatever it may have been when charged off. At this time, I am just asking that while paying off my balance of $1026.28 that it accrues no more interest. Complaint: Contacts me on a daily basis, spoke with woman who won't identify herself. She won't send me an itemized bill or proof of debt Same woman called on 9/24/13 and 9/25/13 and demands I make payment of old Sears debt. She is condescending and rude. I asked for her to mail me the debt info and she says that she has in the past. I informed her that I don't know to whom or where this call is coming from that I will not settle anything without written proof. She refuses and says that I am refusing to make payment and she is taking legal actions against me. She won't give me specifics or even where she is from. She told me not to play dumb and she continues to get nasty. I informed her that all my past debtors were informed to cease and desist making calls to my cell phone and only contact me via USPS. She doesn't say anything that this call is recorded or she's attempting to collect a debt. She just gets nasty and then hangs up on me. Her call tactics are threatening, harassing and sleazy. She has called from XXX-XXX-XXXX and XXX-XXX-XXXX. She threatens me that if I don't pay on this call they will come after me.

Desired Settlement: Without something in writing that I can research as being valid I want the calls to stop and/or I will file charges against this company.

Complaint: This company Credit Control LLC is calling everyday from different numbers and hanging up. There has been a few occasions that they call have been laughing. I am tired of them call at 8PM and my place of employment and leaving recording messages. The are coming after me for a bill I have been trying to dispute with Applied Bank and the their bad credit services. I feel that both are conducting fraudulent activity adding fees and services even after I had closed with Applied Bank. Each time they call the bill in collections is increasing by 100.00. I have been having these companies researched and have filed complaints with the AG's office along with Office of Consumer Affairs. I want them to stop harassing me and calling all hours, not leaving messages, laughing on the other end and threatening to have their lawyers take me to court and garnish my wages. I have a learning disability and collect SSDI so the little money I make is for groceries. I just want them to stop calling my place of employment and leaving so many recording. I have attempted to speak to these people and all they do is yell and argue on the other line.

Desired Settlement: Stop calling my place of employment and my home after 8AM I know there is an unresolved issue but I do not have to be called everyday all hours of the day and night.
