Harris House is a charitable, not-for-profit corporation whose primary purpose is to help alcoholic and chemically dependent persons achieve sobriety and become responsible, healthy and productive individuals. Implicit in our mission is giving people the opportunity to experience the miracle of their own recovery, regardless of race, creed, or economic status.

The Harris House treatment model recognizes that people at different points in the recovery process have different treatment needs. The Harris House continuum of care includes Intensive Residential (STAIRS), two levels of Transitional Housing care and Intensive Out-Patient (IOP) offering a combined 2 years of treatment. Research shows the longer an individual is engaged in treatment the greater the prospects of avoiding relapse.
