    I purchased the warranty on March 2 and was told there was a waiting period and would be valid March 28. On March 29 the car was taken to PEP BOYS to see if there was a oil leak- my daughter smelled oil. An assessment was made of the repairs which was 2400. Lucky for us the car should be covered under the policy as of 1 day. A Christmas miracle. When the mechanic called Carshield to see what was covered - he was told the policy was not effective until April 2. I thought maybe I just had the dates written down wrong, so I called Carshield April 1 to see what the problem was and was told March 28 was correct. For one week - everytime I called I was told someone would be getting back with me. No one did. Finally I was told to send them the bill and if all went well- we would be reimbursed for the expenses. I had to go ahead and pay so my daughter could get her car and go to work. The bill finally produced a claim that was then denied saying that breakdown occurred prior to the contract or waiting period. Not true!!! I filed a dispute online with them and was then told still denied because we failed to get prior authorization before fixing the car. So basically we were first told on March 29 that warranty was not valid (not true), then told breakdown occurred prior to March 29 (not true) and then finally that preauthorization did not take place (in which it did if the moron who took the call had told the mechanic the warranty was valid instead of saying it was not). Failure in so many ways from a company that is suppose to be on the side of the policy holder. Every conversation was met with rude and unhelpful people and at no time was I allowed to speak with the adjustor. In which makes no sense when that is who we needed to speak with since they had all the information incorrect. I would like to be paid for the repairs of 2400 and reimbursed my 2 monthly payments of 140 each. I have already cancelled the warranty as of today. claim # was *******
