I took my car to 5th & Oak to get some body work done after my car was hit, it was still drive able and I actually had to make an appointment to get it in, so 2 weeks later they get my car in and I drop it off. They give me a rental car that already has a cracked windshield and needs an oil change, all around just seemed like the car had been ran very hard, which I was fine with I had used them before and it only took them a few days before to fix my car. This time however it took them 26 days, which they didn't even start working on my car until the last week, I know because I called every week to check on it. Mean while the car they gave me, one evening a homeless man on a bike ran into traffic and we hit his bike. Which scuffed up the front passanger bumper and broke the passanger side mirror. I called and notified the shop as soon as it happened they said all was fine, police took a report. When I took the car back to them, the guy from the shop says looks like scuffs will buff out and mirror will need replaced he went and priced the mirror it was $60. He said I will call you tomorrow and let you know for sure. Well 2 weeks later he calls and leaves a message it would be $900 something. A day after I got my car back I ended up taking it to the dealer because my check engine light was on and after spending $1600 at the deal to get it fixed and having to replace all my 02 sensors. I was not paying them the $900 for the rental. I believe they messed up my car. Now they have sent me a demand letter from their attorney wanting the money. I don't understand why they never sent a claim to my insurance. They are just looking for cash.
