The organization is a grassroots organization of 133 passionate volunteers who campaign tirelessly to increase ovarian cancer survivorship by promoting awareness of early warning signs and standards of care, fund ovarian cancer research, and support survivors. Volunteers staff health fairs, festivals and the Working Women's Survival Show, handing out brochures, bookmarks, teal gel bracelets, and ribbon pins to raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer. Equipped with an informative PowerPoint presentation, Speaker's Bureau trained survivors of ovarian cancer, make hour-long presentations on ovarian cancer to small and large groups of women and men in civic, school, church and business settings. Since 2002, the organization has given $250,000 to fund research grants.
