Missouri School for the Blind
Missouri School for the Blind is a state run school that offers expertise, resources and services 24 hours a day. It is a day school with a residential component serving over 1,200 children between the ages of 0-21 at either its center base in St. Louis or through its outreach services effort. The agency employs nearly 200 staff on a full-time, part-time, or contractual basis.
K-8 academic elementary program, 9-12 academic and vocational high school program, Deaf-blind and multihandicapped-blind programs with a strong supported work component, Afterschool program including housing, recreation and athletics, Specialized services including Braille instruction and Orientation and Mobility, and Related Services including psychological evaluation, social work; speech, occupational and physical therapies.
