Additional Notes

Complaint Category: Inappropriate behavior by customer service personnel

I found the tires I wanted at the Firestone website and went into the store on Sunshine in the morning on Wednesday the 18th to see them in person and get it done for my daughter who I just moved here for college.
Eventually, a salesman named *** ******* got around to talking to me and more or less told me he didn't want to sell me the tires I had chosen, he wanted me to buy much more expensive ones.
I picked out the ********* for under $400, and he kept pushing me into a MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE tire called the Ecopea. I told them the ********* would be fine for how my daughter would be using her car and if they had them in my size I'd be buying those. He was irritable and rushing me and I couldn't believe it when he told me "of course you don't know anything about tires but I'm the manager and I know quite a lot more." I'm sure he does know a lot about some things, but he sure doesn't know **** about people. And he doesn't know **** about me! Who is he to decide what I do or don't know? He humiliated me for no reason . Why? Because I could only afford a cheaper tires?Do you know how expensive it is to relocate a whole family to 2 different states? I'm sorry I've got a small budget and I'm real sorry I went there. Is this how Firestone feels about its customers?
The man had the nerve to stand there and tell me I'm stupid. Of course he didn't say stupid, he just kept shaking his head and stammering at me like he'd never heard anything so stupid,he told me the ********* were the lowest quality tire they carry and then tried to force me into the other more pricey tires AGAIN! The tires he wanted to sell me would be "about $200 more but are really twice the tire". Then wanted another $180 bucks if I "needed an alignment for life" He was angry and impatient when I wouldn't follow him to the counter and then, I just cant believe it, he told me to put it on THEIR CREDIT CARD! WHAT??? NOW I'M SUPPOSED TO OPEN A CREDIT CARD WITH HIM? Then he went back to his computer and I walked out.
I think this Firestone would find something wrong with every car they look at, whether its true or not.
How can I send my daughter over there by herself if a grown man gets treated this way? Is it even legal to advertise something at one price then try to work over the customer once we're there?
If he don't want to sell the *********, why does Firestone carry them? Is this what all their salesmen do? Is that the only reason they carry ********* at all? Can they do that? IS IT LEGAL?
I don't think they have any integrity, I don't think their honest and I don't think what they did was ethical or right.
