For more information about Missouri attorneys you can contact the Office of Chief Disciplinary Council at (573) 635-7400.
The Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel (OCDC) was established by the Missouri Supreme Court to investigate ethical complaints against Missouri attorneys. Complaints must be in writing. There is a form for filing a complaint at our website, which is www.mochiefcounsel.org. That form may assist you in preparing your complaint, but is not required. You may prepare a letter instead or in addition to the form. You should send your complaint to OCDC, 3335 American Avenue, Jefferson City, MO 65109-1079. Complaints are also accepted by fax. The fax number is (573) 635-2240. The telephone number is (573) 635-7400. OCDC cannot tell you over the telephone whether you have a valid complaint, and cannot give you legal advice. OCDC does not handle fee disputes, but may refer them to another appropriate agency. OCDC cannot refer you to an attorney in Missouri. OCDC can provide you with the current standing of a specific Missouri attorney, their public disciplinary history, and their last address registered with the Missouri Supreme Court.
