It has been 6 years since my initial presentation at Tahiti Village, which is more than ample time for them to get their *#@! together. I paid over $15,000 and have not once used the timeshare. Additionally, the 42,700 points I purchased were never deposited in my RCI account. The entire reason for my purchase was to increase my RCI points, but this never happened. I have been defrauded by Tahiti Village and am demanding that the situation be rectified. This all started when I took advantage of a discounted trip to Las Vegas. Little did I know that this trip required that I would be subjected to high pressure sales tactics by Tahiti Village sales representatives. The meeting started with ordinary questions about my travel interests and my plans. I told their sales representative that I already owned a timeshare through RCI and wanted to get more points as I intended to travel more. Increasing my RCI points, which was repeatedly confirmed by the salesperson, was the sole reason for this transaction. After indicating my interest to move forward, I was taken to a different room to blindly sign paperwork. This process was suspiciously quick compared to the original presentation, and I believe this was intentional. Crucial details were conveniently left out of the contract review. I was never told that my maintenance fees would increase so significantly over time, and I wasn’t adequately informed about the various costs I would be responsible for. Additionally, I wasn’t informed of my right to rescind the contract per Nevada law. These factors would have certainly influenced my overall decision, but they were withheld from me. Nothing promised has come to fruition, at this point I have requested that the relationship be terminated and that the contract be cancelled.
