I submitted payment on 9/2/2013. Caravan contacted me on 9/6/2013 stating my payment had been returned due to Non Sufficient Funds (NSF). I called my bank, I had the funds. I asked ********* to run it again, she said 'they don't do that' so I told her my bank would be in touch. "They won't call here" she said, twice. My bank's head teller called Caravan and talked to *********, who was rude to the teller, and refused to wave fees or run the debt through again. These faulty business practices cost me $134.21 which should have never happened.

Desired Settlement
I want a refund of my unfairly collected monies. Because of an error not due to me, they also refused to cooperate with my bank. That would be $134.21 plus $1.20 for two money orders (they demanded that I use) totaling $136.61.

Business Response
**** owes an written apology to her Landlord Caravan Properties,LLC (Caravan) for filing this complaint. As the rent payment **** made was completed by her own authority, as a ACH-electronic transfer, not by check. The authorization for the ACH is 100% in ****'s control. While her ACH does show on her tenant ledger as requested on the 2nd; which would meet the requirements of her rental contract terms. It was her bank who classified the transaction as NSF. Rent was not received on time and **** was notified of the NSF notice Caravan received. To resolve this complaint I, ********* as Caravan's Broker, regarding this rental contract, request a meeting take place with ****, as soon as possible. During the week at my office; to determine what will be the best win-win, in the spirit of mutual support, for final resolution for this event.

It was my bank's clerical mistake, which they tried to fix with ********* at the Caravan office. I will NOT apologize for Caravan being unwilling to work with my bank as they called and were met with rudeness and unwillingness to right the problem, as relayed to me by my head teller. By refusing to run the debt for a second time, at my BANK's REQUEST, they made things ridiculously complicated and expensive. So, this situation was not at all "100% in my control". It was completely out of my hands as this was NOT my mistake!
