Complaint In March of 2013 I entered into a 5 year service contract with Service Engineering LLC. Through April of this year, they indeed provided the contracted service. However, last week, July 24, we needed air conditioning service. Calls to this business went to voice mail only during business hours on Thursday, Friday and again today, Monday July 27. Messages were left but no return call.We had to find another provider to fix our AC. I can only assume that this business has failed.
Desired Settlement We wish a refund for the unused balance of the service contract.
Final Consumer Response We went to the offices of Rial Heating and spoke with the office person. She assured us that all remaining service on our contract with the now closed Service Engineering will be honored. At this time, we feel that this issue is concluded and thank the BBB for their assistance.
Complaint Service Engineering installed a swamp cooler two years ago and inspected and maintained the system every six months. We now have water damage in our ceiling due to leaks in the roof (which is only 3 years old) around the swamp cooler after their installation. Service Engineering failed to note the leaks during multiple inspections with the most recent being April 24, 2015 (see attached documentation). We have tried multiple times to contact them with no luck and drove to their office which is now empty and no notification as to where they moved. We hired another HVAC company (Heat Depot) to inspect the swamp cooler and roof and they immediately found the leaks and sealed everything up. We now have to repair the ceiling in one of our bedrooms due to the water damage.
Desired Settlement I would like a refund of the service inspection and repair ($69) and the cost of the repair of the water damaged ceiling (to be determined).
Complaint Claims to be 24 hour svc, but have yet to be able to get a hold of them. The answering service keeps getting the blame. They installed a water heater and 2 hours later (8 pm) had no hot water. Could not get a hold of them. The next day the tech found a loose connection. That night my husband returned from a trip and found the vent pipe from the furnace had been hacked and not reattached. Also the feed line for the humidifier was disconnected from the supply hose. The next day it was fixed, at which time I pointed out the damage to my wall done by (what appears to be) the bottom of the water heater. The tech took pictures and I was told he would report it to the office. This was June 25th. I waited 2 weeks before calling the office. Every call and every message (5) has gone unanswered.
Desired Settlement Damage to my wall repaired at the cost of Service Engineering.
