My daughter had an appointment to with ************************************, March 13th. I scheduled this appt since moving back to Beaumont to get her asthma plan established for her school and inhalers refilled. When I called in February, the lady stated there was a balance of $119 and it would have to be approved to schedule her again by *************. I stated on the phone I would be making a payment at her appointment but I want to see the breakdown my daughter was double insured at that time. We showed up at the appt and the lady at the desk stated the balance to be paid in full or the appt would be rescheduled. She told me that her office manager said it had to be paid. I restated that I do not mind to pay a portion of it and schedule the next payment but I want to know what these charges are. A MA came up to the desk then and told me "if you aren't going to pay it then we have to reschedule it". I said my child needs to get reestablished with a pediatrician and her plan of care sent to the school today. You cannot deny services to a special needs child who is asthmatic. She argued with me and then walked to "*******'s office" and came back to tell me that my daughter could not be seen unless paid in full. I was livid and asked to speak to her. I told ****** you want me to pay but you cannot provide proof and deny my child the right to care and services. She said yes with a firm expression on her face. I asked for the corporate office # She said there isn't one. I asked for ************* email she said she couldn't provide that. I asked her to get him for me and she said she cannot disturb him. I asked her for HER name and title and she said all she would tell me is her first name is *******. I said you do realize that I will place a formal complaint against you for denying my child care for her special needs and medical conditions based on a balance more than 6 yrs old and no charges explained PLUS you refuse to accept partial payment. And she said do what you must.
