Mr. Omar Malone's work performance is of poor service, he appears professional, but he work ethic is poor. He was asked to perform certain jobs in addition to the contracted work that he was hired to perform, that he said he completed and they don't even work. He was very hard to get in touch with as far as with the general contractor trying to reach him along with us as the customers trying to reach him. I asked for an extension of a current doorbell and the original doorbell no longer rings and the new one does not ring consistently when the bell is pressed. My GFCI outlet in my garage was another issue and my fridge and freezer are still being kicked off. I have a light switch in my master bedroom that doesn't even go to a source of energy. Why was that even put in the wall? He instructed me to go and purchase security lights for the outside of my home and I did as told and then he said that he had to take them back because I needed hard wired and not solar. ( He didn't tell me to purchase hardwired initially). So I was unable to get my money back and on the Invoice his wording was exchange solar security lights for hardwired security lights at an additional cost. Why not discuss this with the customer before doing so, and let the customer decide which type of hard wired lights to purchase. Mr. Malone spent our money for us. When my husband asked him about a second invoice that we received, which was not itemized ( and neither was the first one)and why we were paying for this he stated the following: "I'm sorry you feel that way sir, but I do not itemize my invoices and "break down" cost of materials and labor for small projects such as yours. I give a list of job tasks for the customer to clearly see along with the cost of the total job so that they have the choice whether they want to proceed or not." I (customer) work from home and have seen this man come and go and before he started the requested jobs, I NEVER received a list of job tasks from Mr. Malone, nor did I receive an email from him except when it was time to collect payment. And then when my husband started asking more questions, this was his next reply: " Fwd:I do a lot of business in this area and I have a lot of satisfied customers.I run into this type of situation from time to where things get tight with people(budget etc) and they start "nitpicking "... I understand, things are expensive. I'm not hurt for work or money my brother, ....that remaining $375....don't worry about it. We're good. God bless you and your family." So to Mr. Malone, it was never about the money, we never hesitated to pay you, but when the customer asks questions, you " My Brother" began backpeddling because you thought you were dealing with some ignorant people. With that being said, please people if you hire him, make sure he gives you a TASK list along with an itemized invoice no matter how big or small the job.
