I went to Beaumont bone, and joint on two separate occasions of which they told me the same thing that I might need surgery, but for now they were going to proceed without a splint or cast, and we would see if it would heal on its own. After being seen by the VA Orthopedic professionals, my current insurance provider, I received a diagnosis and that we were going to proceed forward with a surgery to rectify problem. My diagnosis was a radial head fracture. The correct path forward would be to either push the bone back in place or replace the dislodged bone. My complaint is that Beaumont bone and joint knowing this took my money on two separate occasions and took two different x-rays and schedule a third visit without giving me a cast a splint or anything because I dont have insurance that is acceptable to them. How many other people have they done this too? Im just one Im sure theres many that theyre trying to get as much money as possible out of the uninsured, making them think that the process is legitimate when all theyre doing is taking money. It has been two weeks since my injury and due to me moving to another state I have to wait another week before I can have the surgery done. If they wouldve done their job correctly, I wouldve already had the surgery and been healed so that I could do the move without the worry of further injuring my elbow.
