BBB serving the South Plains of West Texas is alerting consumers in the South Plains area about PINNACLE SECURITY (out of Orem, Utah) calling on consumers, writing estimates, making sales and providing alarm services. The company claims to be accredited by or a member of Better Business Bureau
; however, the company is not accredited anywhere they operate because their headquarters office in Utah currently has an F rating which makes the company ineligible for accreditation.

BBB of Utah, where the company is headquartered, reports that there have been over 1250 complaints filed against the company from all over the U.S., 169 of which came from Texans. There have been several states Attorney Generals and other government agencies that have filed complaints about the company. To see complaint details and government actions, click on this link for the complete BBB Report.

This company is misleading South Plains consumers by advertising that they are affiliated with BBB as an accredited business. Even though the company has been contacted about its misuse of the federally-registered BBB logo and name, they are continuing to use it which constitutes false advertising.

It has also been reported to BBB South Plains that representatives of this company have called on customers of PINNACLE PROTECTION which is headquartered here in Lubbock and stating, in effect that "...they are upgrading their systems" making the customer think the two companies are one in the same. They are not and you can see the BBB report on Pinnacle Protection at this link.
