Jferg roofing had replaced my roof less than a year prior, and is contractually obligated to repair any damage within a year of the roof replacement. A small leak was noticed on May 25th, and a phone call was made on May 26th. I spoke with a receptionist who said she would get the complaint to the guys in the field, problem not fixed. After another rain and increasing damage another phone call was made to Jferg. Again I spoke to a receptionist and I outlined the problem, no action was taken. A letter was sent to Jferg on June 14th after another rain, about the increasing damage, to which no action was taken. Another phone call was made to Jferg on the 17th for a roof estimate, they came out that after noon, and upon discovery that it was their damaged product, no action was taken. They made contact on June 19th, but in this time period we have had 5 major rains. The roof and damage are only getting worse! I've been attempting to make this right, and they have taken little to no action to fix the problem.
A settlement would include: 1.Properly fixing the roof to eliminate any possible leaks; 2. Fixing all wood and dry wall damage caused by leak; 3. preventing any mold growth due to excess moisture over a month period; 4. Fixing paint and finishing the damaged areas; 5. Replacing any vents with rusting due to excess moisture.
Immediately upon receipt of this complaint, the owner of J Ferg Roofing called this customer and discussed the issues. The problem originated while we were in between Quality Assurance officers, and unfortunately this was a job that fell through the cracks. Upon speaking with *** ****, we had someone out at his residence making the requested repairs. The drywall repairs are scheduled for July 8th, 2014, and a confirmation call was made to *** **** on July 7, 2014. *** **** has told the owner of J Ferg that he was satisfied with the way it has been handled and stated he would remove the complaint from the BBB website.
