Additional Notes

Complaint: Per written complaint - "On 01-01-2013, I renewed my subscription for one year. Beginning in Jan. 2013, I called 3-5 times each month because I had received no paper or it was in the street gutter.
I called ***** ********* Mgr. on 04-29-13 and told him I wanted to cancel my paper effective 05-01-13 and wanted a refund. No response.
Later that day spoke with a customer rep & told her the same thing the next day Leon called and asked why - told him, like the others that I was tired of having to beg for my papers.
On 05-21-2013, I received a refund for $148.14 from Morris Publishing Co., P.O. Box 934, Augusta, GA 30903 - Since this was for 4 months this calculation appeared to be for 4 1/2 months, therefore, according to my calculations, I'm owed an additional $10.66 and I should not be charged for the additional time in May.
No one in the Lubbock AJ will return my calls to tell/explain how this refund was calculated. On May 22, 2013, I sent a letter to the Morris Publishing Group in Georgia and have received NO reply from them."

Business' Initial Response
After review of the customers complaint, we will be refunding (mailing a check) to the customer for the amount requested.
As her statement says, she did pay for a year (365 days) on 12/10/12. However this payment was for 12/14/12 to 12/14/13 instead of what she thought of 1/1/13 to 1/1/14. Her subscription was stopped on 5/1/13 as she requested and a refund issued for 5/1/13 through 12/14/13.
The issue is with the previous payment. In September 2012 we had a price increase. Her payment on 9/24/12 only paid for 2 1/2 months through 12/14/13 due to her paying the old three month amount.
It is our disire that she be refund the $10.66 that she is requesting.

Business' Final Response
In the original comment the date was enter wrong in the second to last sentence. It should be "Her payment on 9/24/12 only paid for 2 1/2 months through 12/14/12"

This was a payment from 10/01/12 to 12/14/12, although she believed it was through 1/01/13.

Complaint Resolution: Company addressed the complaint issues. The consumer failed to acknowledge acceptance to BBB.
