Issues with framing/multiple outside cement issues/ product issues
Built our home with ***** ****/Clearview Custom Homes, LLC. From the very start, multiple issues getting sub-contractors to complete tasks. Almost a full 3 months behind on finishing our house. We then closed on our house August 20, 2014, Upon closing, we noticed multiple issues regarding cement that was broken in our front and back driveways. Was told they were going to fix it as soon as they could. Multiple issues with barn doors that go in front of our master bedroom, and 2 that block off basement. After multiple attempts to get barn doors fixed, wood floor replaced from where they drilled into the floor to hold doors in place. The issues still remained, they then discovered the barn doors were warped from being left out in sun on back patio. They replaced 1 barn door going to our master bedroom. Clearview warranty people then said we would have to pay for the other 2 since we want them replaced. We did not pay for warped doors, after talking to the wood company ourselves, they then said no, we do not have to pay for said doors. They built them with another layer, much sturdier this time, and were pleased. Only then to discover, the right side wall where right barn door sits is an inch shorter than the left side wall. It took almost 2 months to discover that issue. The hardware for the barn doors arrived a week after we closed on the house, and the barn doors got hung after we were already living in our house. After all of these issues we encountered, we were lied to multiple times on the times and dated these issues were to be resolved. And to this date, the cement is still not fixed, the builder has now made my wife cry several times, and told her that it is what it is on the wall to the basement and can't be fixed. He has yet to send a framer over to look at the issue, and will not cooperate with us after spending thousands and thousands of dollars to build a house. We have been patient on resolving said issues, and we have run out of patience with everyone involved. We are trying to get this issue resolved now before it comes more of an expense to us more than we have already put into it. We paid for everything not to be perfect, but to be right, and the wall isn't right, and we want this issue resolved. The builder for this house has not cared, apologized, said anything about his paying customers not being happy with his product. We have been told several times by builder and employees, "y'all are going to be the only ones who see it". We reply with, "yes, that is exactly right, we live here." Thank you.
We are looking for this issue to be resolved, the wall fixed like we paid for. The barn doors to line up correctly without having to look rigged in order for them to do so. The cement fixed, like they were supposed to multiple times now. I am looking to be treated like a good paying customer on a product that we paid lots of money for and we pay lots of money for monthly. If this can not be fixed, we will seek damages, money for the damage that has been done to our wood floor over and over and over again. Damage that is done to said cement on both driveways and sidewalk. And damages that occurred to the wall for the framing issue. We paid for this product, and it needs to be corrected, before we have to shell out more money out of our pocket to fix it.
