Our file contains a pattern of complaints from consumers alleging Great Healthworks, Inc. continued to bill and ship Omega XL after the consumer requests cancelation of their account. Other consumers allege they experienced a delay in receiving refunds.
Great Healthworks, Inc. responds to these complaints by issuing refunds and apologizing to the consumers.
On June 17, 2013, BBB sent certified correspondence to Great Healthworks, Inc. requesting their voluntary cooperation in resolving complaints on file with BBB and providing steps it will implement to eliminate the pattern of customer complaints. BBB will update this aspect of the Business Review once additional information becomes available.
On July 2, 2013, Great Healthworks, Inc. responded to BBB's concerns. Great Healthworks states they are extremely proud of how the company handles monthly customers who purchase Omega XL. The company makes every effort to process refund requests in a timely manner. Currently, refunds are processed in less than 30 days and Great Healthworks is striving to be able to process and issue refunds on the same day by the end of 2013.
Great Healthworks goes on to say that their refund policy is clear and conspicuous in the sales calls and written order materials received by each of their customers. Great Healthworks states that many of their customers take advantage of their special pricing and receive monthly auto shipment of the product. Great Healthworks offers a 90 day money back guarantee from the initial order date and do not require the return of products. The company states a number of the complainants are well outside their 90 day money back terms. Nevertheless, Great Healthworks issues full refunds in the interest of customer satisfaction.
Additionally, Great Healthworks states they do not ship product after a customer cancels their order. In some cases, the customer requests a deferral of their shipment and agrees to receive shipments at a later date. The company says a number of the complainants fall into this category and failed to subsequently call to cancel their order before the next scheduled shipment date. Notwithstanding, Great Healthworks issues a refund to these customers as part of their efforts towards customer satisfaction.
As of October 8, 2013 BBB reviewed the complaints on file and determined the Pattern still exists.
