Honey Pets store has not issued refund per warranty as promised over 45 days ago. Multiple contacts have been made with owner in attempt to resolve.
I purchased an English Bulldog puppy at Honey Pets on April 23, 2013. As part of the purchase I signed a warranty that states if a veterinarian should diagnose within the first year of the puppy's life a hereditary or congenital disorder, a refund or exchange shall be made by the pet dealer up to the amount paid for the puppy, which was $1,868.99. On October 16 I took my puppy to Banfield animal hospital because of limping on her back leg. After several x-rays and a visit to an orthopedic specialist on October 17, we found out that the puppy has a congenital disorder where a socket in her hip which provides support to her legs had not developed, causing that bone to slip out of place every time she walks. We first contacted the owner of Honey Pets (******) on October 17 explaining the situation and requested a refund to cover the medical expenses due to this congenital issue which is covered by her warranty and by Florida Law. The amount came out to $501.00 and after emailing her all the receipts, x-rays and documentation, she agreed to send us a check on October 22. After one week we contacted her to check on the status and said she had not sent it out yet. After two weeks we contacted her again and still had not send it. We contacted her again one week ago and said she would send it out. It has been almost two months since we requested this refund and we have no reason to believe she will follow through. Honey Pets has been provided with all the necessary receipts and documents and has been given more than enough time to solve this issue.

Desired Settlement
I am seeking a refund of $501.00 to cover the medical expenses due to the congenital issue covered by Honey Pets warranty and by Florida Law.
