On August 2, 2023, my wife and I paid $36,000 for a used 2021 Bayliner VR5 and $4300 for a 'new' trailer from Intermarine ************ After being approved from our financial institution, the salesman stated that they didn't accept checks and only wire deposits, making us go to and from the credit union over 45 minutes away several times. After getting through the financial issues with the dealer and doing all the leg work for financing, they forgot to mention that all of the approved signers for all 3 locations were going on vacation and it would be another 2 weeks to close on the boat, after they received our $3300 deposit. So we waited for 2 weeks after wasting our money.After we finally completed the purchase, we took the boat out with my family for the first time and the boat would not perform over **** RPM. After going back and forth with the dealer, they said they weren't responsible for it and it worked fine when it was sold to us. I complained to the sales department and they did a complimentary diagnostics. The trim sensor was faulty and they made me pay for it to be fixed, as the warranty expired 2 weeks before that, while the signers were on vacation. On August 27, 2023, while towing the trailer, there was a loud squealing sound. I stopped the vehicle and found the right wheel to be hot to the touch, covered in brake dust, and the brake pads were non existent. Further inspection, found the rotor disks for both sides rusted and worn, the brake pads completely burnt out, leaf springs are flaking in rust, and the bearings filled with dirty grease. Intermarine advertised a new trailer being sold to me for full price, when the trailer had severe rust and was not brought to the attention of myself or my wife. This was a safety concern to my family while we were towing the vessel and could have ended in serious harm if the trailer wheel and brakes had failed. I am requesting Intermarine to replace the wheel brakes, calipers, rotors, bearings and leaf springs.
