Paradise Exteriors has not completed their full service of impact windows and shutters within the time frame of our contract
We heard about Paradise Exteriors Company through Home Adviser and got an appointment for a free estimate (hurricane impact windows and shutters) shortly after. On March 18, 2015, we met with Paradise Exteriors' sales rep, Tony Hogeback. Mr. Hogeback was an excellent salesman and knowledgeable presenter. At the end of our meeting we negotiated the price and signed a contract to have impact windows installed in two bedrooms of our townhome - on the first and second floors, and also to have shutters installed in living room and master bedroom.(French doors). The cost would be $7000, with the initial deposit of $3500, second payment on the day of installation in the amount of $2800, and remaining $700 would be payable after the final inspection. The contract indicated that installation would take 8 to 10 weeks. We thought we had plenty of time to prepare our recently purchased home for a hurricane season. We paid $3500, and within two weeks company representatives did come and measure our windows. However, when the installers came to put windows in a few weeks later, one window was missing, and another one could not be installed (lack of appropriate equipment). In spite of work not done, the second payment of $2800 was fully collected the very same day. The shutters were installed later on in about 2-3 weeks. .
As of 07/06/15 we are still not finished with our project. We called Paradise Exteriors office frequently but couldn't get the answer when the project is going to come to the end. Per last phone call to the company as of 07/06/2016, we still are waiting on a date of installation and inspection.
We also have sent a certified letter to the owner of Paradise Exteriors stating that we were unsatisfied with the way company handled our project. We asked about a discount in the amount of the last payment of $700. The letter is unanswered, nobody contacted us on this matter. This company did not communicate effectively with us, we had to call numerous times just to get an update, and were offered no apology at least for drawback in their professional service.
As owners we suffered the inconvenience without any of our fault, including changing travel reservations, and we would like to inquire to decrease the quote for this particular project by the amount of last payment of $700
Finishing a job, have our home inspected and adjusting the price of the project in the amount of $700 ( last payment)

Paradise Exteriors, LLC finished our project, and it passed inspection on July 27th, 2016. Upon conversation with the owner, we were given a discount of $700.
Overall, the experience with the company was satisfactory. They had a delay in delivery and installation of the windows, however they honored our request for waiving the remaining balance.
