Our files contain a pattern of complaints from consumers that allege Credit Counsel, Inc. is making multiple collection calls a day for debts that are either no longer owed or are not theirs. Consumers also allege that they receive poor customer service and are unable to receive a letter of debt satisfaction. Consumers state they are continuously being harassed, even though they state they have repaid the loan or have informed Credit Counsel, Inc. the debt is not theirs.
On April 7, 2014 BBB sent correspondence to Credit Counsel, Inc. requesting their voluntary cooperation in resolving complaints on file with BBB and providing steps it will implement to eliminate the pattern of customer complaints.
