DO NOT USE EVER!!!!THERE ARE BETTER COMPANIES OUT THERE THAT WON'T DESTROY YOUR BRAND NEW HOME!Reasons never to use A-1 Heating and Air:1. They don't care about you or your property. There neglect is going to cost over 15K to fix and repair.2. They are not responsive when your property is damaged.3. They try to defer blame to you.4. They don't properly service the equipment on service calls.5. When they finally accept fault they and their insurance company ghost you to the point you have to write yelp reviews, make reports to the Better Business Bureau, and use your own homeowners insurance company to get your home repaired.We have a 3 year old house that was brand new when we purchased it. It's our first brand new home and my wife and I saved for over 20 years to be able to purchase it. About 2 years ago I contacted A-1 to install an air humidifier on our furnace. They came over and installed it and a brand new thermostat so we could monitor the humidity in the air. They said to replace the filter about every year or so and luckily the new monitor gave alerts when it needed to be repaired. March of 2023 I contacted A-1 to come and replace the filter. I watched as the tech replaced the filter. The tech advised I could do this on my own to save some money to which I declined.January 0f 2024, I noticed that the hardwood floors in our hallway were warping and buckling. I then looked and saw the same thing in our pantry. After searching for the water leak I discovered it in the garage water closet. I opened up the doors and saw that it had been leaking and spraying water all over the closet. I have no idea how long it was leaking since the water didn't leak onto the garage floor. I contacted A-1 and they sent a rep out to fix it the following day. The rep said the water line was clogged and that was the cause of it. The tech replaced the filter and turned the system off at my request. He mentioned that the air humidors often fail and that I should put a moisture alarm in the water closet.A few days later and after repeated calls I finally got ahold of ****************** began the conversation with it was our fault. After hearing him out, I provided my side and told him his folks were there in March to service and maintain the humidifier. At no time has anyone from A-1 told me that these systems leak or fail. Furthermore, no one from A-1 has ever told me that the systems clog and need to be inspected. Again, these items should have been checked during the maintenance in March.**** said he would turn it over to his insurance company and file a claim. This was over two weeks ago. Since then, our floors are getting worse and nobody has reached out to **** am now going through our insurance company and they can deal with A-1. This fiasco could and should have been prevented!A-1 and **** should handle things like it's their home that is damaged. I guess since it's not, they don't care!Now we have to have all of the hardwood floors in our house sanded and stained. This requires all the trim being removed and replaced. All of our furniture being moved out and my family being out of the house for 2-3 days while they stain and repair the floors.With all the other options out there, I would never recommend A-1 for any service!
