****** an employee of Chevyland stated there were no mechanical issuess causing us to drive 395 miles one way for a poor vehicle.
I located a vehicle Chevyland had advertised on I contacted the dealership and spoke with a sales person by the name of ****** She assured me the vehicle was in good shape and had NO mechanical issues along with having cold air and a good radio. Upon arrival, we started the vehicle and could clearly hear there was a manifold exhaust leak which could have either been a cracked manifold or bad gasket but she didn't know. While test driving the vehicle we found that either a motor support or transmission support was broken and would need to be repaired. Also, the air condition did not work. But on a positive side, the radio worked, however that was about all that didn't need to be repaired. ***** stated she had not driven the truck and did not realize there was all these issues. This cost me along with my brother a day of work for what was a trip that should had never taken place. She had also told us her mechanic shop had gone over the vehicle and found no mechanical issues. She later told us that the reason there was such a good price on the vehicle was they were not making these repairs. MY ISSUE IS SHE MISREPRESENTED HERSELF AND THE DEALERSHIP BY NOT BEING HONEST FROM THE BEGINNING. WE WOULD HAVE NEVER MADE THIS TRIP IF SHE HAD TOLD US WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT TO BEGIN WITH. TO ME, THIS IS A CLEAR EFFORT TO GET US THERE THINKING ONCE WE MADE THIS TRIP WE WOULD GO AHEAD WITH THE DEAL. I'M NOT CONVINCED IT WOULD HAVE MADE THE 395 TRIP BACK TO GULFPORT, MS.

Desired Settlement
I feel first and foremost the sales practices of this dealership should clearly be looked into. I have no hope that I nor my brother will be compensated for the loss of a days work along with a 790 mile drive for gas and expenses. However something must be done to expose this type of action by this dealership.

Even though our used vehicles are inspected by a technician before being placed for sale and there is a free Carfax offered online for every used vehicle, there may be varying levels of wear and tear present. In most cases, the acceptability is completely subjective based on the opinions of those interested in the vehicles. Our intention is to provide good service to all of our guests when inspecting the condition of a used vehicle.

I was supposed to be a co-signer, but was listed as the signer.
I was signing as a co-buyer on a vehicle. After pointing out to the sales person *** ****** that my name was in the wrong section, he informed me that it was only for sales purposes, and I would be listed as the co-buyer. I also asked the question to the finance person, who gave the exact same reply. I called into the dealership, and was told there was nothing they can do, and that I would have to have the vehicle refinanced.

Desired Settlement
To be placed as the co-buyer at no additional expense of my own.

Buyer and co-buyer placement and approval is sometimes dictated by the lender approval. Before contracting, the business manager reviews all contracting paperwork with all buyers. Vehicle titling and registration changes after the purchase may be addressed with the local department of motor vehicles.

09/23/2013Advertising / Sales Issues | Read Complaint Details

********* has failed to pay off my car trade in loan. I've called to have this issue resolved to o avail. I've never received a call back.
I bought and traded in 2 cars and chevyland has failed to address my issues. No call back when told I would be called back. Management never looked into the payments. for all I know they didn't send the check, and has already sold the car to a dealers mother. I just want my trade in car paid off. ********* has to send checks to creditors in a timely manner so customers are not left to pay off a car payment that should no longer be our concern. ********** needs to help customers that's their job. Not helping steal money or not sending in checks that need to be sent.

Desired Settlement
chevyland needs to refund the *** car payment that I had to make on a car I no longer have, and that they already sold. plus any interest I have to pay after the ten day period for pay off.

Prior to receipt of this case, the customer spoke to ***** ******** Used Car Department Manager, regarding the payoff on the vehicle that was traded in. *** ******* verified that the vehicle lien was paid off in full.

07/29/2013Problems with Product / Service | Read Complaint Details

I have a week left on my temporary tag and it's been over 2 months!!! I've called LITERALLY half a dozen times and no response or change!!

I purchased a 2008 Black Tahoe back in May on the 27th and after half a dozen phone calls and several text messages to the Sales Lady I've yet to receive any response back and I am less then a week from my tags expiring and that puts me in a legal bind. Also I was promised a set of keys to my vehicle and I've yet to receive any correspondences or products.

Desired Settlement
I want my key and my License Plate by the 27th because thats when my temp tags expire!!!!!

I spoke to the salesperson who told me that the License Plate and the Extra Set of Keys were mailed to Ms. Dowden on July 13. The salesperson spoke with them today.
