Purchased new Heat Pump Unit in 2013. It is not installed properly. Drip Pan runs over every hour. Water destroyed Bathroom ceiling. Need help
Last time called the co. stated Heat Pump unit not installed properly. Stated that when they gave us the estimate for the heat pump they had mistakenly made a low estimate. Now they want $1200.00 additional to put it together properly. Water has destroyed our newly remodeled bathroom ceiling. We cannot leave our home for more than 1 hr. because air shuts off every hour when drip pan is filled again. Husband, ******* ******* (disabled veteran) spends hours a day emptying drip pan. We cannot leave pets alone in house as windows can't be opened and gets so hot. We have 7 pets in house. I have 51% lung function and cannot tolerate heat either. This is the 2nd heat pump purchased from them. About 25 yrs ago my now deceased mother, **** ****** ****** and I purchased the first one from them. Now most workers are new and do not believe us. I am gathering receipts together and taking photos of equipment and damage. I want it installed correctly. I do not feel that we should have to pay because they gave us a low estimate. It is their job to give estimates. And why are we being told this just now? We will be contacting and attorney.

Desired Settlement
I want the heat pump unit installed properly so that water will not come through our ceilings. I want it to cool and heat our home adequately. I want it to run properly so we can leave our home without worry. I want fair amount to have our bathroom ceiling replaced.

I was unaware of this problem, their equipment was installed on 6-3-2013, we were contacted on X-X-XXXX for a water drainage problem and repaired the line under warranty. We didn't receive another call until 6-21-2014, almost one year later, where we found the drain pan broken, we replaced the pan under warranty and reinstalled with everything draining correctly when we left. We didn't receive any other calls for any problems. The $1200 estimate was to replace some return ductwork that was existing and had come apart at some point this year. We have contacted the homeowners and we will be out to repair the drain next week (X-XX-XXXX) and will go ahead and repair the duct for no charge since I had no idea they were having these difficulties. I will have a carpenter repair the ceiling. However, we can't address problems if noone calls us and lets us know there are problems.

They came to the house once as they said and told us they would be back the next week, but they did not show up. They installed a drain on the drip pan, but the shoddy workmanship causing the leak has not been repaired. We have no air in our living room. It worked fine until they installed the new heat pump. Our bathroom ceiling has not been repaired. We contacted them more often than they are saying. But I was told once that we were not in their system. I have received mail from them addressed to Mr. *** ****** and I am female. So I don't know what they are looking under. I am not some "weirdo." I have been a nurse for more than 30 years and work at the ** **** of Corrections on ****** ****** in Texarkana, AR. My IQ is over 140 so I am not stupid, just busy working. And they come to the house when only my disabled Marine Veteran husband is home. He does his best to talk with them. I work *** til ******* and am on-call all the time. Thank you for trying.
