Complaint: I stopped by Sign diego office in midway a while ago and made an appointment for them to come to my business location and give me a quote for a few business signs.about a week later a gentleman name Al showed up and spend close to half an hour and collected all the information from me and the landlord and told me that we should have a quote in 48 to 72 hours.2 weeks later i calle dthe company and spoke with a lady who assured me that the quot must be lost or it could be in my spam file. i checked it and nothing was sent. so i called the company again almost a month later and spoke with the owner and he said he is going to talk to Al and get back to me.when i got back to the office i receiv ed an email a month past the date i was promissed saying that they will not be submitting a quote. I think this is very unprofessional and even though they have the right not to do business with me or anyone else they do not have the right to have me hanging for a month when i gave them the respect of giving them my business and waiting for 30 days.I dont want them to do this to someone else, it is very un ethical and unprofessional to do business like this and i expect an apology from the owner in order to withdraw my complaint if i find it sincere.regard***** *******
Desired Settlement: an apology letter and a call from the owner
First let me apologize for any inconvience my company, Sign Diego, has caused you. We are starting our 25th year in business and your complaint with the BBB is the first we have received. So I take this very seriously.
On October 2nd at 10:30am my Graphic Artist, ***, met with you at your business location to do a site survey. He was in the field the rest of that day. During the next few days he did layouts and renderings of your project. He passed them on to **, my manager to work on estimating the project.
** spent the next week trying to find a match for the existing post and panel sign system that is currently in place at your location because you wanted it extended. Unfortunately he was unsuccessful. I spoke with you the morning of October 19th when you called to inquire about your estimate. I said I would look in to it.
It is now 13 working days since visiting your location. This is typically not our usual practice being this tardy and again I apologize for that. On the 19th, after your call, was the first time I had seen the project. After reviewing the project, I determined that a number of things you requested we could not do.
I decided, that even though we had put a considerable amount of time in the project, it would be better not to continue. I do know that it set you back on this project and again I apologize for not notifying you sooner. Somewhere, communication broke down. We are rectifying this so it does not happen in the future.
I am sorry you had such an unpleasant expierence dealing with us. *** ********
