Complaint: I hired Dynasty Movers for my move on Saturday Oct 31, 2015. When signing the contract I was told that the company was insured and any accidental damage to my property arising from the move would be covered. One of the movers dropped a shelf from a dresser he was moving upstairs, and during its fall it managed to scrape and cut gashes into the newly installed engineered hardwood floors. As I gave the mover the payment for the work done, I was ensured the insurance would cover it and the owner, ***** *****, cared about his reputation. I called the office the following Monday and spoke to *******, the owner's assistant. According to him, he took my information to start the claim process and would have the owner call me back when he got in the office that afternoon after 4pm. He also asked me to email some photos of the damage, which I did. I never received the call back that afternoon. I tried calling back on Tuesday after 4pm and was unable to reach anyone. I called back again on Wednesday, Nov 4th in the early afternoon and reached ******* again. He told me he received the pictures and would have the owner call me as soon as he got in the office. I did not receive a call back. I called back several times later that afternoon and failed to reach anyone. I left a message stating my frustration and thatf I was not contacted by the following day I would escalate the issue. It is now Thursday and I haven't received any update or assurance that the damage Dynasty Movers caused to my home would be taken care of.
Desired Settlement: I would like Dynasty Movers to take out an insurance claim in order to fix the damage to my new flooring that was caused by the negligence of one of their employees .

Complaint: I had a terrible experience with this moving company on 10/5/2013. I spoke to David (the owner) over the phone and made a verbal agreement for a timeframe and cost. The drivers arrived well past the given timeframe and purposely took their time. They also asked if I would like a piece of damaged furniture their last customer left on their truck. When I said no, they left it on my lawn anyway. They did not have the tools to take the bedframe apart (mine were packed and already moved) so they left that behind in my old apartment. One of the 2 movers twisted his ankle on my staircase, causing him to drop my file cabinet which tumbled down the stairs to its demise. He was rendered unable to complete the job at that point. So I was left with a crew of one to finish the job. I had to recruit my friends and family to finish, but it took longer because they aren't experienced movers. The crewmember finishing my job told me not to worry that I wouldn't be charged for the extra time. Once the job was complete, however, the invoice they presented was for twice the amount agreed. This took me by surprise so I asked my husband to talk to him about it. I felt he was trying to take advantage of me. They did, in fact, charge me for the extra time. My husband negotiated out the double-drive time and fuel surcharge (since that wasn't agreed on in the beginning) and they reduced the total by $75. That was after an hour of negotiating and denials from the owner. And they had their giant truck blocking our complex and wouldn't leave until we paid. Now that I've been trying to make a claim for the damaged property, they won't return my call. By not being out of my apartment in the alloted time, I had to pay an extra 3 days of rent until I could reschedule the move-out inspection. They provided only 1 man that was able to perform the entire task, I had to provide the rest of the labor to get it done.
Desired Settlement: They have not returned my calls to give me the information I need to make a claim for my damaged furniture. I would say that the amount agreed on for the job, $150, minus the cost of the damaged furniture, $25, minus a deduction for being late and another deduction for the manpower I provided, $25 each, I estimate I got about $75 net-worth of services. I won't deduct any cost for removal of the trash they left. I would like a refund for the difference. I paid $225. I am owed $150.
Business Response: Customer has been called, spoken to, reimbursed. We came to an agreement to reimburse $150.00. Check was sent out February 8th, 2014.
Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *******, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I have received a check from the business in the amount of the refund as I requested it.
