I have been a customer with ******************************************* Services since 2016 and thought they were a decent company until a recent incident that is still not resolved.I have three accounts with AFS. I wanted to pay extra funds on one account using a credit card. Unfortunately, you can only pay online using your checking account, you have to call them pay using a credit card. So I called once and paid extra without incident. I called a week later to make one more additional payment and the customer service rep could not take credit card payments over a certain amount, and she would have to relay the information to a manager to process. I left the account number and my credit card information with the amount to pay. The amount as applied to the incorrect account. I contacted AFS as soon as I realized this mistake and left a voicemail for the manager. The amount was removed from the incorrect account, but to this day, over two weeks later, the amount still has not been put applied to the correct account. I have checked my credit card transactions and it was not credited back to my credit card either, so I have $5K of money for two weeks that they have, but not applied to any account, one specifically that I requested twice now to do so. There system is barbaric and this causes issues. When I had called initially, they saw the newer account first and that's not the one I was calling about. Their system should bring up all three accounts on a screen, not the newest one only. I think this is what the manager also saw and instead of using the account number I gave, was applied to the incorrect account.I am still fighting to get my money back or applied to the correct account after sending an email on December 16th (today is the 31st and figured that putting it in writing may help, but has not). This company needs serious better customer service tools and get with the 21st century that why you cannot pay with a credit card online, but you can with a check is beyond unbelievable for the 21st century.

We've been in contact with the customer and this issue was resolved. The customer's payment was correctly applied to the specific loan intended on 1/4/2022. The customer was contacted on 1/6/22. The payment was effective dated to her original date intended. Thank you.
