I paid American Veterans Aid ***** on June 19, 2020 (receipt attached) to assist in completing the forms for the VA Survivors Pension Benefit. On March 25, 2022, ************************* received a letter from the ***** of Veterans Affairs, stating she did not report income on Veterans Affairs application from Metropolitan Life Insurance ** in the amount of $94,162.00 and Bankers Life & Casualty ** in the amount of $55,819.00 and $16.00 interest from a Metlife policy on her ****************************************************************************************************************************************** 2019 and they no longer exist. I also have contacted Metlife regarding policy C0065527812 and C0016147109 for $16.00 interest from 2019, $16.00 from a Metlife policy on her 2019 taxes. The original Metlife policy C0016147109 was closed and policy C0065527812 remains open, Quarterly interest is paid on this policy. **pies of both policies are attached. I have contacted Metlife to get evidence the policy C0016147109 no longer exists and that the funds stopped. I have attached a copy of the Metlife, verification of benefits for account C0065527812,. The question. "Did you and your dependents receive income last year that is no longer received or was it a one time payment." *** ****** form stated "Yes" with no amount, yet, the VA form 21P-0969, Section 8, number 7, the answer is "NO". The VA plans on ceasing ***************************** benefits of $1,228 monthly if she I does not respond and that she must repay overpayment since the benefit went into effect on September 1, 2020. I have called *** and they did not return my call. ************************* is entitled to this benefit. I trusted *** to report this information correctly and they failed, ************************* has a limited income and I have no idea how this could be repaid.
