Complaint: ,I PURCHASED MY CAR A 2006 JEEP CHEROKEE ON AUGUST 13,2015 IN CASH DUE TO A WORKERS COMP CASE I WON. ONE OF THE REASONS THAT I PURCHASED CAUSE IT WAS A GOOD DEAL AND I PAID IT IN CASH WITH A WARRANTY THAT WAS ISSUED TO ME. IN NOVEMBER I TOOK IT IN BECAUSE THE CAR WAS STATED THAT IT NEEDED MAINTINANCE AT THE TIME OF THE APPOINTMENT THEY RE SMOG THE CAR AND OIL CHANGE AND STATED THAT I HAD NO WARRANTY BUT YET THEY DID THE SERVICES. THE COMPANY ALSO STATED THAT IT HAD A SMALL WATER LEAK BUT REFUSED TO FIX IT. THE CAR BROKE DOWN LESS THEN 6 MONTHS OF OWNING IT AND NOW I AM STUCK WITH NO CAR AND HAVE TO PAY 2,000 DOLLARS TO FIX IT WHEN I HAD A WARRANTY. THEY WILL QUICK TO TAKE MY CASHIER CHECK OF $9,995 AND SELL ME A CAR THAT WAS GOING TO LAST A FEW MONTHS. IN ADDITION, I STILL HAVE NOT GOT THE LICENSE PLATES OR THE REGISTRATION FOR MY CAR AND I HAVE CALLED MUTIPLE TIMES WITH NO HELP ON THEIR END. I AM STUCK WORKING 2 JOBS TRYING TO GET THE MONEY TO FIX MY CAR.
Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE THEM TO HELP ME PAY FOR SOME OF THE EXPENSES. REALLY I BUY A CAR FOR IT TO BREAK DOWN ON ME LESS THEN 6 MONTHS. I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND COSTA MESA NISSAN AGAIN.
This email is in response to claim #********. The customer (***** ****) states that he paid 9995.00 for a 2006 Jeep Cherokee and that he also got a warranty.
Per attached documentation he actually paid 9500.00 and the purchase only came with the Buyers Guide Warranty (90 days or 3000 miles). He brought his vehicle in for service on 12/17/15
for regular service and was told that he had a red fluid leak, the customer chose not to get the recommended work done. As for the DMV he registration was processed in August and
was cleared in December. This process took longer because a smog was needed to complete the DMV process. The customer states that he never received paperwork.
However, he has since moved and DMV will not forward. We wanted to help him out with getting him new plates and DMV work but he does not have insurance so the DMV
has put a suspension on his renewal. If there is any more information needed regarding this complaint please do not hesitate to ask.
