This company overcharged me, lied about the difficulty of the project, lied about having originally provided a senior discount which was only provided later after I complained about the cost, left the kitchen floor and cabinet dirty until I requested cleanup, demanded nearly $2,000 for 3 hours work for blocked kitchen drain and replacement of some pipes below sink (would not specify which), stated that receipts for purchased parts would be provided me and then refused doing so, denied that I received an estimate of $450 max for the same work afterward, in fact essentially accusing me of lying; in a meeting to negotiate a reduction of their original price, the representative was condescending, bragging, misogynistic, rude, and completely illogical (asking me whether I valued money or time more). Really? Their original demand would have provided them $660/per hour; the revised cost $400/hour. The work was done in less than 3 hours, including the purchase items that then would not be identified as promised. This was obviously not a complex project as represented The estimate I subsequently received from a reliable professional was for $450 for completion of the entire job. I am a single senior woman. I was taken advantage of by this company. My Social Security income for the month has been entirely used and I am now in a very difficult financial situation. I contacted this company by mistake, thinking it was the company referred by a trustworthy professional, but I must have made an error in the phone number. This is irrelevant to the facts, which demonstrate the fraudulent practices of this company, except that I initially believed the employee's representations as to the difficulty of the work and having already granted me a senior discount. It was not until after the work was done and the employee asked for payment in spite of the fact that the area was wet and dirty that I realized that this was not the company originally referred to me.
