The tour I booked with ***** Tour and Travel was a scum. There was a big different between the itinerary and the actual tour. Horrible experience!
My husband and I went on an organized tour vacation by ***** Tour and Travel to China on April XX XXXX. The tour did not take us to some of the places and activities promised to us in the itinerary as well as tours that were listed as optional which were not offered to us. The following are some example: We did not get to see "Chinese Acrobatics Show", the tour refused to take us to the "Grand Canal Historic Cruise" since few people in our group were not interested, we did not have a party as promised, we were taken shopping at locations different from what have been promised to us in the tour itinerary, we did not get to visit The Shanghai Museum, we did not have a "goodbye dinner with a dancing show" as promised in the tour itinerary, prior to the trip we were asked to bring a suit and a nice dress for this party. On each of the last three days of our trip, in Renaissance Hotel in Shanghai, we received a check for breakfast. Knowing that the breakfast was supposed to be included in our tour, I asked the tour guide about the check. He instructed me and the others in the group to not write our name on the check and scribble down a signature. I realized that the tour did not pay for our breakfast as promised, and wanted us to scam the hotel. Needless to say that was very humiliating to do so my husband and I ended up paying for three breakfast meals.Furthermore, the tour guide was not professional or helpful at all. There was an incident in one of the hotels we stayed at were our tour guide physically and verbally assaulted receptionists of the hotel, leaving us with total embarrassment. I want to add that after only few days we called Mrs. ***** from ***** Tour using a cell phone from a fellow traveler to complain to her about the tour, hoping she will take that to her attention and make the rest of our time better. Few people from the group talked to her so she know the whole group, total of 20 people feeling the same but unfortunately, this call did not help. I have to mention that we were promised to have lunch in best restaurants. That never happened, instead we were taken to cheap and horrible places, to a point that the whole group refused to have lunch one of the day and rather to stay hungry. On day eight of our trip we were taken on the optional tour "Cruise of stunning ********"which we were asked to pay $50 each for, upon arrival we found out that the tour actually costs $20 each. We put this to our tour guide's attention and he did not take any actions in correcting this for us, saying that's what he was instructed to charge by ***** tour. My husband and I were very excited about this vacation but returned back home feeling disappointed, humiliated and cheated. We were physically and emotionally exhausted. My husband and I went to many organized tour vacation in the past and never had any issue or complain. Upon arrival back home I called ***** tour to complain about the tour and all I have been told was to come back to book another tour vacation with them!

Desired Settlement
I would like to get a return of %50 of my payment to them for this horrible tour. My husband is a self-employed, we paid a big sum of money for this tour and also lost some valuable time of ours returning home cheated and humiliated. I would like Mrs. *****, from ***** Tour And Travel, to call to apologize for her wrong doing. I would like them to take me of their contact list.

This is in response to Case no. XXXXXX. Please consider this letter denying Mrs. ****** ********'s allegations.

It is my understanding that there can be no dispute that Mrs.******** and the three family members attended and used the entire travel group's itinerary with the exception of one event which caused by a delayed flight, but resulted in a rescheduling of an alternative event. Ms. ******* ******** filed a dispute of $12,576.00 to American Express on the second day of travel yet continued on with the remainder of the trip, along with an additional four days in Hong Kong.

With regard to her first complaint, the twenty-person travel group was scheduled to attend an acrobat show upon their arrival on the first day. Their flight from Los Angeles to Beijing was delayed and arrived late that accounted for the travel group to schedule an alternative bird show which group attended. In this instance the travel group understood that instead of the acrobat show, a bird show would be viewed instead. The bird show costed an additional $40 per travelers that was paid by us at no cost to Mrs. Yeshua and her family members.

The next day, on the 21st of April, she called and disputed the charge to her credit card. She failed to take into consideration the efforts that were expended towards replacing the delayed flight and the effects, which has nothing to do with us. Again, the official tour started on April 20th, she called on the 21st yet continued and benefited from full services.

Mrs. ******** and the three family members continued on the trip as planned and were guided throughout Beijing, Haugzhou, Suzhou, and Shanghai as listed in the itinerary. On multiple occasions, she requested a private shopping tours, which were not listed or part of the package.

She claims that the travel guides took her to locations and that he received commission incentives from those locations. However, this is plainly false allegation as she affirms that she attended multiple locations in her itinerary and avoided others. Upon her arrival she sought a private shopping tour beyond the scope of the itinerary. However, she did not take the option for a private shopping tour, and did not sign up for the same. Furthermore, she and her family members did not take the options listed in her itinerary, and complained about paying a $20 gratuity on top of the options to the cruise tour guide. Again that has nothing to do with us.

The group totaling 20 stayed at the Beijing 5 Star Pullman Beijing West Wanda, Grand Metro Park Hotel (Hangzhou & Suzhou), and Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel throughout their itinerary, receiving a continental breakfast at each location. She however sought to go beyond the scope of the itinerary and would not pay for said services, to the shame of the Chinese tour guide. She further alleges that they did not receive a good-bye dinner. That again is simply another false allegation. According to establishment's records they had their dinner and further ordered items beyond the standard menu, and did not pay for those items, again those charges burden by the Chinese tour guide. Attached please see The Chinese Tour Guide statement supporting the she and her paty extraordinary requests and failure to pay for those services.

The Travel group in total had 20 clients aboard the tour. ***** Travel has been in business since 1960, and they have sent travelers to China for over 20 years. ***** Travel provides a non-stop ticket from Los Angeles to China, and 9 nights in a 5 star hotel with breakfast, lunch, and dinner at specified times. Among the 20 passengers ** board, including Mrs. ******** and her party, she and her husband are the only ones that claimed symptoms of food poisoning, or the extraordinary events that she alone alleges in her complaint to Better Business Bureau.

***** Tour & Travel Services denies all allegations made by your client and believes her allegations are completely false and baseless in an attempt to get a free ride.
