Complaint In April 2013 I placed an order at the store Rapport for an Italian sofa , which unfortunately was not delivered until around July 25, when I made the final payment owed. Soon after that a health emergency kept us away from home till February and the sofa was very little used. About a month ago I noticed one leg caving in and called the service department who sent a technician. Upon dismantling the sofa I noticed the poor way it was built and the poor quality of the work. The technician mentioned that the frame was broken, reason for which the leg cave in. Moreover I noticed clearly a label ' Made in China". Both my fiance and I were told repeatedly that the sofa is made in Italy. Even when I was calling for delivery date I was asking when is the container coming from Italy and never was corrected.I would have never bought this $4500 sofa made in China.I called the rep and soon I was contacted by the Sales Manager, Phong Lam, who flatly declaired that the warranty is not from delivery, payment and possesion, but from date of original order. Nothing in their paperwork detailed this aspect.I was sold a chip, defective item with false pretense that is made in Italy. Their customer service, product and business philosophy is so bad that I am surprised they are still in business. I request a full refund. Desired Settlement This $4500 sofa was purchased during a sale and my total cost after the discounts was $3005.02. The shipping charges were $163.I request the amount of $ 3163.18 back and they are fee to pick up their "Italian" sofa made in China.
