Complaint
Power chevy in Valencia told me I needed my fuel injectors replaced. They took $1600 cash but then wrote the repair up as warranty "no charge" work afterwards. But they did keep my $$!Less than 20K miles later, I was told by a dealer I needed ANOTHER set of fuel injectors. The technician had left dirt in the fuel lines causing the damage. Now $4600!!Over 3 MONTHS of polite voicemail messages to **** ******* (the service manager) were unreturned. He has never spoken with me. Not even once. The service writers say they can't help, and the service secretary will only pass along messages. How do I resolve their shoddy work if they won't communicate at ALL? I have since moved away so I can't visit them personally.I would like either a refund on their bad repair, or a refund of the cost of fixing their bad repair. I will NOT let their shady service department touch my vehicle.
Product_Or_Service: Fuel injector replacement

Desired Settlement
I would like to be refunded for their repair job that caused the pre-mature parts failure, or I would like a refund of my cost to fix their shoddy work.

Business Response
In response to this negative review:

This customer was here one time on 2/11/2011. With 118,322 miles on his vehicle.
His vehicle was blowing smoke from the exhaust, which is caused by bad fuel
leaving rust deposits on the pintle on the fuel injectors.
General Motors along with Bosch have stepped up and covered these injectors
well beyond the warranty period as a courtesy repair.

the cost of replacing injectors in his vehicle would have cost him over $5500.00
he was only required to pay $1600.00 (which included the replacement of his instrument cluster,
which would have cost him an additional $650.00)

Now, over two years later he called and wanted a refund as he stated the truck was having the same concern.
Also, he called from Florida, there was no way to verify his concern.

I spoke with General Motors and they were not willing to refund his money. The repairs to his vehicle
were done as a Goodwill Gesture with customer participation. In no way were we at fault for his injectors
failing in the first place and in no way responsible for them failing a second time.

Mr. ****'s attempts to get a refund were not done in a polite fashion. His first contact was angry and
condescending. His call was returned only to get a voicemail. We did not leave a message.

General Motors turned down his attempt at another repair and also denied any reimbursement.

Consumer Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The reply is misleading and false.

Regardless of the $1600 "courtesy" charge to replace the injectors, my issue is with THAT repair failing after only 18 months and less than 20K miles because their "technician" left dirt in the fuel lines. A repair ($5500!) at any cost should last longer than that.

If **** ******** had truly returned any of my calls, I would have given him the diagnosis "to verify my concern" from Wallace Chevy in Stuart, Florida. Invoice ******

Because I was getting zero response, I was forced to ask General Motors for assistance with my concern. They were so shocked at the poor service from Power Chevy in Valencia, that GM was willing to give me a $1500 credit for a new car!! and even offered $500 credit to get the repair done at a different dealer!!

Power Chevy of Valencia's poor repair job is not GM's problem, I never asked GM to refund the money that Power Chevy in Valencia took for the job.

I also never asked GM to pay for the current repair that was caused by Power Chevys faulty service.

I assert that yes, Power Chevy IS responsible for the service performed at their shop both good, and in this case, bad.

I am simply asking Power Chevy of Valencia to either refund the money I spent at their shop for an obviously faulty repair, or refund me the much greater cost of the repair I had to make because of them.

I have detailed testimonial and photographic proof of the cause of the premature injector failure.

I believe I have given Power Chevy of Valencia every opportunity to make this right. If they choose to not be honorable, or ignore this completely, the next step is court.

Final Business Response
Customer's request was denied by GM rep. There is nothing further we can assist him with. There will be no refund.

Final Consumer Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Power Chevy of Valencia does not even seem as if they are reading my responses.
I wrote this complaint to the BBB as a warning to others. If you are reading this and considering using this dealer, don't fall for the manufactured "good" reviews! Please know there are MANY other customers that feel the same way I do. Their responses here prove that they are unwilling to make an unhappy client a happy client.
Because they have exhausted every opportunity I have give them to be responsible and honorable, I will take my proof and see them in court.
