Complaint We purchased central heating and air, a new electrical panel and installation from **** ************** and **** ************** and they were terrible. **** ************** and **** ************** did an un-permited job, and it was not to code. I only found this out because I was trying to get a DWP rebate and they told me the job was completely illegal.
I have about 50 emails I sent to them requesting that their electrician come back and fix his job, and I called the electrician ****** from JDL Electric, Lic# XXXXXX, phone # 562.513.4406) about 10 times with no call back.
Finally I had called and emailed MGM Heating and **** enough times, and they wasted months saying they were sending someone out etc etc and finally they sent out a really helpful former employee named ***** and he helped to get his new employer GOMEZ HEATING & AC to help with the permit process and send someone to fix all the illegal and UNSAFE electrical work.
I was told MGM Heating & AIR was sold to ***** HEATING & AC in Bellflower, license # XXXXXX.
Gomez finally got things "fixed" or so I thought. This was installed on 5/17/2013 and I was just told by DWP today that it is still not permitted!!!! OVER A YEAR LATER!! The paperwork they gave me and told me it was a permit was simply one inspection - and nobody followed up on it because they didn't care and I thought it was finished.
I still cannot get Department of Water and Power (DWP) to connect things properly because the job was done so badly.
These guys are scam artists and I have since read several reviews that say the same thing. These guys scammed us and did a terrible job.
Their address (formerly 25 La Porte Street #2) changed to *** E. ******** Blvd, *** ** ******** CA XXXXX. Their phone number is ************ and their license # is XXXXXX
The owner **** is a liar and an *****. He never followed through, and said "I moved to Texas" so apparently that is supposed to make me not care that the job wasn't done correctly - WRONG!
I want my 11k back, and I want a real company to re-do the work. They didn't even properly connect the new electrical panel to the sub panel inside the house!!
They installed a 3 ton American Standard split system, furnace and I really wish we'd had any other company do this.
Their email is ******@sbcglobal.net, office number 626.358.0700
They should be fined!!! Or worse! I can't believe I'm still dealing with this issue. They keep going out of business and popping back up again. I hope **** ********* is stopped!! He is the worst.
Desired Settlement Literally, as much as I'd like a full refund. I just want a darn permit. I want the work to be legal and official.
I have had to become an expert on electrical panels and get many quotes from other electricians in order to solve the riddle that is this job.
This was very expensive, and we got swindled. I hope to get a permit someday and maybe even some justice.
Business Response Sorry about not having the permit for your company went out of business about a year ago all files were given to Gomez heating and air in Bellflower maybe they can help you . Again sorry for inconvenience ...
Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Their business had not gone under at the time I contracted their services.
It is ridiculous that we had to put up with what we did.
Final Business Response There was a permit pullrd and signed off by the city and customer has a copy.
Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) What the city signed off on and gave me wasn't even the permit! I didn't find this out until I finally got the Department of Water and Power out to update the electric meter (to digital) and I still haven't been able to get the actual permit!
They blew it if they thought I got the final permit. Just shows how badly they managed everything. They don't even know what the final permit looks like? And they didn't even send someone from their own company to do this!
