Problems with Product/Service

Complaint: I had purchased an Ergo Comfort system. The product does not operate as it should. The unit catches the head board of my bed and lifts it off the ground. I was told that I would need to push the mattress to prevent this. I spent over $7800.00 on this and should not have to push and pull and adjust a bed every time to use it.
Desired Settlement: I would like either a refund or replacement of the product. The company had taken my old box spring and mattress. I would love the product to be replaced and completely operational without having to manually push and pull every time.
The customer was delivered an Adjustable Mattress Set on April 10th 2014, as ordered. Their assistant contacted us on 4/14 to express concerns that the Bed Frame (not ordered from Ergo) had come apart. The customer was out of town that week, so Ergo scheduled an inspection visit for 4/21. Upon inspection it was noted that the customer’s bedroom floors were made of a slick hardwood, which caused both their Mattress Set and their Bed Frame to slide out of position. When the Bed Frame was out of alignment with the Mattress Set the problem occurred after articulating the mattress.
On 4/23 Ergo suggested that the customer obtain Furniture Cups to help keep the Mattress Set and Bed Frame in position. Ergo scheduled another in-home visit for 5/5 to reposition the Mattress Set and Bed Frame as well as install Furniture Cups. This service and the parts were provided at no charge. All items were correctly positioned and operating properly at the end of that visit.
In summary; the customer received the product that they ordered, in good working condition and this product is fully functional without any defects. Ergo has also made several in-home visits to help the customer resolve the problem with their bed frame (which was not ordered from Ergo).
BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
