Complaint: I purchasd hardwood flooring from RAYO WHOLESALE Flooring and used an installer "*****" that they "highly recommend" With-in 90 days the new flooring started becoming unglued in several areas (developing air pockets- 1-3 feet across. Patrick the salesman at **** says it is not ****'s problem and I should contact the glue manufacterer, even though they also sold me the glue. I retained a cetified flooring inspector and after a $350 visit his reports said the moisture levels in the cement in that room were high enough to warrent amoisture barrier should been put in place before gluing. **** and thier installer said they don't agree and its not thier problem and I should call the adhesive manufacturer and work it out with them
Desired Settlement: Per the report from the certified the flooring expert, the entire floor needs to be redone,
**** Wholesale, Inc. is a wholesale flooring supplier, not an installation company. Beverly used ****** to install her carpeting some time ago without any issues, and used him again to do her wood flooring. She asked for some other referrals to contact regarding her wood flooring, so we gave her some other names. She was free to choose anyone (not only our referrals) she saw fit to do the installation, we only referred a few for her convenience. These installers are not employed by **** Wholesale, Inc. in any way.
Attached is the report from the inspector that Beverly commissioned. The conclusion of the report is that the issue that she is having with her flooring is an installation related issue, and not an issue with the flooring itself, nor the adhesive used to install the flooring. It seems that ****** has been out to her residence trying to correct any issues that she has, and **** has contacted Ark and Bostiks regarding the issues also. Unfortunately, from the findings of the inspector that Beverly had commissioned, the moisture content of the subfloor voids any warranty from both Ark and Bostiks.
This is most definitely an installation issue and, unfortunately, **** Wholesale, Inc. cannot compensate Beverly for any flooring. There is no issue with the flooring, nor the adhesive, purchased from **** Wholesale, Inc.
BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
