my pool has cracks all over it. They sanded down one area and the sediment from sanding adhered to the pool sides and bottom. they refuse to fix it, blaming it on PH being too high. My PH is not high and hasn't been and they have never tested my pool. The sediment appeared 2 days after sanding the cracks on the **** shelf.Their warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. They are saying cracks are NORMAL.

    Generation Pool Plastering, Inc. Response

    01/25/2024

Yes, I know *******. I tried to explain to her that superficial shrinkage is normal in cement, and can only become more pronounced when the cement is colored, as white particles can attach themselves to the surface, and make these seem like cracks. Hers are very subtle, and only topical. She previously had white plaster for many years, and switch over to colored. This is new to her. Colored pools/cement will produce shade variations, and other superficial matters that are natural inherent traits of cement. This is also stipulated on our contract as well as every plastering company out there. Which she acknowledged when she signed. As contractors we have to have this waiver present. This has been known in our industry ever since cement was introduced as a surface for swimming pools, and I have been in this trade after my grandfather, and father. Now over 40 years.  I explained to her how to help minimize, and even remove. I even gave her 2 helpful guides with tips. She does not want to use chemicals in her pool, or even have them present in her back yard. She also does not want to hire anybody to assist her. This is the problem. Muriatic acid is an important factor to dissolve particles and maintain ph levels. I've tried to explain to her as clearly as I can. This can be corrected with the introduction of the instructions I sent her through adjusting her balance of water. Not sure what else I can do. I offered to visit her, but all she wants to do is argue. I asked her not to argue when I arrive, but was met with more arguing. She then asked me not to visit. What else am I supposed to do?

He does this to everyone. I have a friend that was unfortunate enough to have the same issues with them recently ( wish she had spoken with me before hiring them I could have saved her this headache). BBB will be hearing from her as well. He refuses to help her too. AND BTW You are not supposed to put acid in the pool if the ** is not high. It lowers **. I followed all instructions. He is a pathological liar and he needs to refund what it will take to fix the damage they caused from sanding the step. that is what caused the particles that adhered to the bottom and sides of the pool and this was diagnosed by 3 pool companies, including the company that he gets his plaster product from and diagnosis issues. The pool color was decent until they sanded the step, the sediment appeared 2 days after they did the sanding . They all recommend an acid wash. It will fix the sediment but the crack will only be minimized. I use the appropriate pool chemicals. I have maintained my pool for 22 years and I hired a service for the start up to make sure it was done properly. I never had cracks in my pool until they resurfaced my pool. He as never as much seen the pool much less tested it. He must have a sixth sense that Im not aware of.
