This has been a ongoing problem for the last almost 3 years. My husband and I bought a wedding set from Sharif's and had my stone (from a different jeweler) mounted. Within a year, the setting failed and my original, REAL diamond, was lost. I was hopeful that the stone would turn up, so I had Sharif's add a CZ--also, at the time they were unwilling to stand by their work because I had not brought the ring in every 6 months for inspection--this was mostly due to Covid. Since then, the setting has failed 2 more times with the *** At this point, I'm frustrated and don't trust the quality of the work; therefore, I had an oust-side jeweler look at the ring. He said the metal is too soft and the prongs are too worn down to hold anything--basically, the setting crown won't keep anything for long. Finally, after the crown failing for the 3rd time, I asked for Sharif's to take back their product. I asked if the product was an official Parade piece or was it a knock--off--the salesman feigned insult. Actually, I"m the person who has been insulted dealing with a lost diamond, constant run around, and upselling by those in the Folsom location. I've also found that Sharif's "notes" are not up to date or accurate; they only keep notes that seem to benefit them. Then don't keep track of general cleaning notes etc (if one did not bring in their service booklet). All in all, i feel like the company could have taken care of the issue by 1) replacing my lost diamond with a diamond (not a cz) or 2) refund the set at the time. Now after so much inconvenience, heart ache and time--all I want is my money back so that my husband and I can go and buy a new reliable wedding set at a reliable jeweler.
