I was referred to ****** at taxes and books, and wanted her hire her for some basic accounting services. She wanted to do my taxes too, said she could get me a better return at a better price, so I agreed. They filed my return w them in early March and I have yet to receive it. I called and spoke to the receptionist who was quite rude and didn't want to be bothered. So I just kept waiting, but I'm concerned that there is something wrong with the return. I've tried reaching out to ****** (the lady who did the return) many times by txt email and phone call, but no response. She was very nice but seemed to be WAYYYY overbooked and kinda all over the place, dropped the ball on me more than once.A couple months ago we went over some of my financials and she was going to help me with business insurance, getting the proper licensing for my business and paying my sales tax. I was late on paying something (I think it was my sales permit and she told me she was going to call them to try to waive the late fee and would get back to me.She never did and I keep trying to reach out but she doesn't respond me emails phone calls or txt messages.So today I called the main # and got the same mean receptionist again. She was SO ANNOYED to be bothered with my phone call and put me on speaker phone and was yelling at me from across the room. When I asked her if she had me on speaker, she said yeah bc she was busy doing something else and was the only person there. I asked for a supervisor at that point and she yelled at me and told me to call back next week.This is a VERY uncomfortable position to be in. These people have all my financial and personal information and are SO UNPROFESSIONAL, it obviously makes me nervous. I will be contacting another accounting company to see if they can take over, but without any cooperation from Taxes and Books, I feel stuck.
