Complaint: On 10/19/2010 my vehicle was rear ended by a vehicle going at a high rare of speed causing significant damage to the rear end of my vehicle. I chose to have my vehicle towed to Sutter City Auto Body to be repaired. On outward inspection the vehicle seamed to be repaired; however on 9/ 24/14 I was again hit in the same location of the said vehicle and after being inspected by a different body shop the management showed me the repair job done by Sutter City. Now my vehicle has severe rust where the vehicle was supposed to have been repaired. The impact ripples in the frame are still there and damaged from the impact is still evident after the trunk interior was all remove for further inspection by the current body shop. The current body shop states that my vehicle is not safe to drive.

Desired Settlement: I want Sutter City Auto Body to reimburse the current body shop for repairs to my vehicle so as to maintain safety of me as said driver. The "band-aid" that was put on the damage to my vehicle they need to pay to have removed, the rust needs to be removed and the vehicle repaired correctly, all repairs being paid for by Sutter City auto Body. Pictures can be provided by the current body shop as evidence.

October 2nd we received an email from BBB.

In it was outlined that a past repair done in October 2010

had a consumer complaint.

I called The customer to discuss the issue the the same morning we received the complaint. 
We inspected the vehicle in question that morning. We found no structural problems with the past repairs. Their issues were not found to be supported by any evidence. I called the customer right away. I explained to her our findings. I then informed the customer that the BAR procedure for repair complaints is to address the problem first with the original shop. Any complaints about work done here is to be brought to us and warrantied by our shop, in our shop. I fully extended our warranty to the customer. We hope she gives us the opportunity to make her happy. 


Consumer Response: I am rejecting this response because: I have contact the bureau of automotive repairs and they have inspected the vehicle as well and their findings do not coincide with the Sutter City Auto Body. They have documented evidence of substandard work.
