Out of a pool of over 125 nominations, Bennett Weiner, Chief Operating Officer of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance, was selected to be part of a new Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) advisory committee.
FASB, which is the designated organization in the private sector that establishes standards for financial accounting and reporting, has appointed Mr. Weiner to be part of a new 17-member Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee (NAC.) The NAC will serve as a standing resource in obtaining input from the not-for-profit sector on existing financial reporting guidance and other projects.
The BBB Wise Giving Alliance is pleased and honored to have a representative participate in this important body and looks forward to assisting this effort to strengthen FASB’s standard-setting activities.
