            On 20th December 2022, my car broke down in ***************, I called my car insurance company( State Farm) for a road side service. My insurance arranged my car to be towed to Meineke ********* My car was towed to them and upon their car diagnosis I was told that my car has fuel pump problem. Because of the distance I ask them to fix the car and let me know when the car is ok so that I can come and pick the car at once. I live in ******** which is approximately 48 miles away from *************** where my car broke down. They took advantage of me and rip me off. They charged me $1368.96 to fix my car fuel pump ******* corolla 2009). I pleaded with them to reduce the fee, they refused instead they told me that if I do not come and move the car, that it will be amounting demurrage for me. Finally I paid and picked the car. A month later, 24th January 2023 the car broke down again with the same fuel pump problem. Because I do not trust them based on how they treated me last time. I took the car to R@M Automotive Waynesboro where they diagnosed and replaced the fuel pump with the some of $560.07 . Since then I have asked Meineke manager to refund me my money because they did not change the fuel pump as they claimed, and even if they did replaced the fuel pump the charges was outrageous. My complains are as follows: That Meineke scammed and ripped me off.That even if they replaced the fuel pump as they claimed the charges was outrageous when compare with normal charges, I will upload the two invoices for you to compare.Finally their fuel pump has a 12 month warranty but did not lasted more than a month, so let them refund me the money for the fuel pump. Please kindly use your good office to look into my case and call Meineke to account in order to safe and protect consumers from scammers like Meineke in ***************.

            This company is the worst!! I called on Monday to schedule an appointment to have the brakes repaired on my truck. I explained to them on the phone that I live out of town and my only means of transportation is my truck so I cannot leave it overnight to be worked on. The guy on the phone acknowledged this so we scheduled the appointment for Wednesday morning at 8:30am. He said that I would need to leave the truck there for the day but I would definitely get it back before the end of the day so I agreed. I showed up this morning (Wednesday) as planned. When I arrived at the office I told the guy behind the counter that I had an appointment at 8:30am to have my brakes replaced but he had no idea what I was talking about. He pulled my information ** in the system and confirmed it was me. This is my first time going to this mechanic shop so they had my information in there, the staff just didn't check for appointments this morning. A little worried, I told the guy behind the counter that I couldn't leave the truck overnight, he said they would call me when it was ready. I waited for a call throughout the day but I never received one. I started got worried around 3pm so I decided to call the shop and check on the status of this repair. When I called the shop, the guy who answered the phone was rude, insincere, and completely useless. I told him I was calling to check on my vehicle as I haven't received a call from anyone. He asked me for my vehicle description, and when I told him he responded, "they haven't even gotten to that one yet". I explained all of this again, we had an appointment and I can't leave the vehicle overnight, but the guy just said they were busy. When I asked him if I would be able to drive it home today he said, looking at how many vehicles are in line in front of you, we won't be able to get to it today. Absolutely unacceptable business practices!! It is not ok to mislead customers to ensure you have business. There is nothing more that I could do!
