July 2,2022 I was looking to purchase a used car for my daughter. I was referred by a close family friend. I told *********** I wanted a reasonable, reliable,compact car. We picked the Cruze.I dont know much about cars or the process because I dont drive. I put that day **** and financed the rest. We asked some questions but I thought I had time to research I admit I overlooked the As/Is paperwork. However he assured me that nothing was wrong with the car. I didnt get car insurance that day so we came back Wednesday the 6th and still couldnt get any. He told me to try again just tell them to add my daughter on. I got it we were ready to leave and he said the bank would call to verify and if anything wrong he would fix it. I asked him I thought you said wasnt anything wrong with the car. He said dont worry. The car didnt have gas he reluctantly gave 20 dollars. By the time we got to the get gas the tire pressure light came on, by the time we got to DC the engine light was on. Friday I got the lights checked out and I didnt want the car. We took it back Saturday and I gave him the paperwork with the problem. He said I couldnt get my deposit back but dont worry he would fix the car by Monday he then said the bank will call Monday lie and tell them the car is running good theres nothing wrong with it and I will give you a 6 month warranty too. He never called me Monday 11 the bank and I told them everything Im telling you and I didnt want to lie about the car because I didnt think it was safe or reliable and I would have to put a lot of money in it. I enclosed paperwork about the problem with the car. He assured me nothing was wrong with the car. I learned a ****** because I didnt read everything I signed however I he knew the car had problems before he tried to sell it to. He said he purchased the car from a auction so he knew up front what was wrong with the car. I think under the law of Virginia Im entitled to some of my money back. Please help
