Additional Notes

Complaint: My relationship with Capitol Oil began about 5 years ago when I had them replace my oil furnace with a gas furnace and install an in-ground *** tank. We contracted with them to have automatic deliveries. Two summers I had my first problem with LPG being delivered in a timely fashion. I was near the tank in my yard and smelled gas. I checked the gauge on the tank and it read empty.I called Capitol and reported this. They made a delivery and told me that you could smell gas if it was allowed to run low or completely empty. This past summer I happen to check the gauge and it was down to 30% and I called for a delivery and asked to be sure we were on the schedule for automatic deliveries. Again I was assured we were. This past fall I checked again and found it down to 30% again. Then about mid January my tank was once again down to 30% and I called and requested a delivery. I asked to speak with a manager and a man was put on the line but I did not get his name. I complained that this was the third time in a row I had had to call to get LPG delivered when all the while I was supposed to be on the schedule to have it delivered automatically. He assured me this would be taken care of. I also asked if it could be done on a more frequent basis because the bill we would get when it was down to 30% was about $500 and it was difficult to work with such a large bill in our budget. I was told we would be put on the schedule to have a delivery every 2 weeks. On March 4 this happened again. I called and spoke with ******. She assured me that we would be put on a 2 week schedule. It has now been over 2 weeks and no delivery has been made.I request that *** deliveries be done in a timely fashion so that I don't have to keep checking on it. Please do whatever it takesto make that happen so we won't run low in gas and our bill will not be so high when we get a delivery. Is there something I need to do to make this happen that I am not doing?

Desired Settlement: All I want is to have LPG delivered in a timely fashion as I have been assured it would be time and time again. Having this done every 2-3 weeks from October thru March and every 6-8 weeks from April thru September would be great.

Business Response: We apoligize for any inconvience and concerns that our delivery schedule has caused in the past. ***** has set up *** ***** on a "Julian Day" delivery schedule instead of the normal "Degree Day" schedule. We will deliver every 2-3 weeks from October thru March and every 6-8- weeks April thru September.

BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
