The Better Business Bureau has received complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Telemarketers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the law enforcement, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other internet payday loan services.
According to information in BBB files, the company's record opened at the BBB on January 28, 2011. We started receiving complaints alleging that consumers were receiving calls from the company claiming to be a collection agency collecting on unpaid payday loans. Consumers claim that they were not aware of unpaid debts to payday loan companies.
BBB mail sent to the company's address at 401 S Milwaukee Ave. Pittsburgh PA has been returned by the Post Office as "Return to Sender – No Such Street". BBB has confirmed that the address is non-existent and there is no S Milwaukee Ave. located in Pittsburgh.
